Ok so it's not directly GLBT related but this is where people know me...

I've been offered a minor part-time job, 2-3 hours a week.

Is this a good idea? Or will it serve only as a distraction from looking for a real job?

Honestly it depends, do you need the money and is it something you would enjoy doing?

If you enjoy doing whatever the job entails I say take the job, even if that one never turns into more hours or enough money, you have something to put on your resume that says hey I can hold a job.

Not to mention if you are enthusiastic about the job, your coworkers will tell you about other places that are doing the same thing and hiring. The managers will look at you first if an opening opens, not to mention a call for a new worker from any other place will get your name. Assuming the job is in a franchise, if not well the last one won't happen but the rest could.

Any job could turn into a great job that pays enough, it's all a matter of being good at what your doing. Flirting alot helps though, especially if your being a waitress.
