I dunno if you have a case, but where did the ignition source for the fire come from?

I'm glad you're OK, Danielle. The explanations I've read here sound reasonable to me. I had a carburetor catch fire once, and I think my husband had the same thing happen with his. It's very disconcerting even if the fire stays contained.
