She smiled and nodded at his book. "What about you?" She asked.

"Historical fiction, mostly," he said, trying to be nonchalant.

Alexis raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"

Mikhael tried to hide the book behind his back. "It has pirates," he said defensively.

"I won't laugh," she promised.

Mikhael tossed his book over. "I usually have to come on weekends, since the guys don't understand."

Alexis smiled. "Ain't nothing to be ashamed of," she said.

"Ty telling the guys," he said."I only get less ribbing because of my position."

Alexis grinned. "Its okay," she said.

"So now that I've thoroughly humiliated myself, now what?" he asked.

Alexis stood and stretched. "The gym?" She asked.

 

[bindingeagle]

"Only if you promise to take it easy," he said.

She sighed. "Fine," she said.

Mikhael led her to the gym. "Let me know what you need me to do," he asked.

"Help me onto the treadmill," she asked softly.

 

[bindingeagle]

He put his arm out so she could push herself on.

She pushed herself up onto the treadmill and began walking.

Mikhael got down to his workout gear and got on a recumbent bike.

Alexis walked then began to run a little bit.

"How are your legs holding up?" he asked, picking up the pace himself.

 

[celestialdragon]

"They hurt, but no pain, no gain."

 

[bindingeagle]

"Remember our deal, push too hard and I'll give you a spanking," he teased.

Alexis laughed. "Just tell Nikolai, he'll do it."
