Alexis smiled and blushed a little bit. "Good, I'm glad. Did you enjoy it? Well, except for the punishment, I don't expect you to enjoy that," she said, wrapping her arms around his waist and looking up at him.

"If I enjoyed it it wouldn't be punishment," he said, climbing out of the tub. He let himself swing freely, watching her reaction.

Alexis smiled. "I don't know, I liked it when you punished me," she teased. "Anyways, you enjoyed the rest of it?"

Nikolai took a towel and dried off. "It was great. Now let's get stuff together. We have a deployment to get to."

Nikolai packed his things and made sure there were no ammo casings left lying around before they loaded he car up. He drove to the airport to get back to Langley. "So, Egypt? Who do we like there?"

"The Egyptians love me," Alexis said with a smile. "I got the Prime Minister out of a nasty situation a few years back, so I'm welcome whenever. Cairo's beautiful," she smiled.

"What I meant was, who are we tracking down?" he said. "Sorry, just trying to get your American slang down."

Alexis smiled and shook her head. "Probably a terrorist organization. That's usually why I'm sent to the Middle East. Muslim extremists."

"OK, makes sense to me." Nikolai said. He parked the car and loaded his luggage into the government plane. "Back to D.C it is."

"Yep. Home sweet home," Alexis said. She slipped her hand in Nikolai's once he was done loading the luggage and squeezed gently, smiling shyly.

Nikolai helped her board and took two beers from the mini fridge. "To our new assignment," he toasted, cracking it open and taking a swig.

Alexis smiled and echoed the toast before taking a swig herself. She set it down with a sigh. "So, we'll have a couple days at home before we head off," she said. "What do you want to do?"

"Well we did the sightseeing last time so how about we check up on your brother?" he said helpfully.

"I could try," Alexis agreed. "Remember, he left for the Middle East before we left for Vegas." She smiled at him sadly. "What else?"

"I just figured we could pull strings, that's all. Nikolai said. "Other than that, let's just enjoy home for a bit."

"That sounds good," Alexis said. Getting up, she walked over to him and sat next to him, putting her head on his shoulder.

Jet lag set in and Nikolai fell asleep next to Alexis. He awoke to the landing notifications to buckle up. Alexis slept through it, so he buckled her lap belt for her.

Alexis woke up just as the plane landed, still sleepy. She yawned and stretched a bit before kissing Nikolai's cheek. "We're home?" she asked softly.

"Yes, we are," Nikolai said pecking her on the cheek before grabbing their carry on. They disembarked and loaded into their waiting Land Rover, and Nikolai began to drive home.

They arrived at the house and Nikolai divided the parcels between the two of them. They got in and Nikolai grinned remembering the warmth and homeliness of it. "You get to pick dinner tonight, I think. I chose the last two meals." he said, embracing Alexis from behind.

Alexis smiled and relaxed into his embrace. "That's fine," she said, holding onto his hands around her waist.

Nikolai guided her to the love seat and got the menu folder out, snuggling back next to her under a big blanket.

Alexis smiled at the snuggles and kissed his cheek. "I'll figure out something, baby," she told him. "Right now, I just want to snuggle with you."
