She reached for the red, this time slipping and falling, hitting her head on the coffee table. She gave a loud cry of pain before shaking it off. "I'm fine," she said, taking off her pants.

She felt it. "It's a baby one," she said. Hitting her head was starting to sober her up, and she reached for her screwdriver to numb the pain for now. She wanted to finish this game.

She spun again. "Right hand blue," she said. She was feeling wobbly, and she looked up at Nikolai, slightly panicked. "Nicky? I don't feel too good," she confessed. She didn't want to tell him, but she knew he would figure it out anyways.

Nikolai stopped the game and laid her down on the floor. He hurried off and grabbed an ice pack, placing it on her head.

Alexis shivered as the ice pack was placed on her head, but reached over and squeezed his hand in thanks. She felt like she was going to throw up.

Alexis heaved and threw up into the trash can, groaning after seeing the contents in her stomach. "I'm not sure which is worse, throwing up because you're drunk or throwing up because you were stupid and hit your head on the coffee table," she said.

"I've never thrown up while drunk, except once," Alexis said. "That was the night I learned you don't mix peppermint schnapps with red wine. . . "

"I was incredibly drunk already by this point," she confessed. "And it sounded good at the time. So we started heading home- a friend of mine and I- and we got pulled over, and I was trying to talk our way out of trouble- my friend was speeding- and I threw up on the cop."

She dabbed her forehead with the washcloth, wincing as she went over her bump. "Yeah, it did. We got the ticket. I helped pay for it. It's not as bad as that friend though. About a week later, we were partying at my place, and she got the brilliant idea to mix beer and Southern Comfort together. I was cleaning the carpets for weeks afterwards."

"Let's do you a favor and not talk about booze," he said, refilling her water and grabbing a gatorade.

She drank the water and Gatorade in small sips. "You should probably drink some, too," she said. "You had quite a few drinks yourself."

"Fine, I'll be a good boy," he said, grabbing a drink. "MMM, electrolytes," he said, gulping half down.

She giggled and continued drinking. "So. On the game. Is it paused, or do we declare a loser?" she asked.
