Canterlot Tales (OOC)

It's a place of magic and the impossible.
Things you wouldn't expect, are actually quite common here.

The weather is controlled daily by those with wings, the Seraphs, as they're called. Others can perform magic, the Wizards of Canterlot. Some are better than others, some choose to focus on what they know best. Other still, without magic or wings, but still have amazing talents they use to help others every day.
So how do they know what their talent is?

The marks they all wait for eagerly. The mark that tells them their future, what they can do the best. For some, it's an easy and obvious mark that comes to them at the right age. For others, it can take awhile, never quite being certain what makes them "Them".

And other times, those special marks mean something even more.




Needing help on further ideas for it, but I have a few sparks flowing in there.

Please keep in mind, this is the HUMAN version of it. There are lots of awesome cosplays/sketches out there of beautiful versions of the group. Special mark: A raincloud with lightning, found on her upper left forearm.

She comes off as a bit brash and a touch lazy, but is always ready to lend a hand to her friends. Her love of boasting and never backing off from a dare, however, tends to slow her down a touch- She hates to lose and likes to think of herself as the best at everything. A major tomboy, she loves to pull practical jokes and cause trouble, but also has her girly moments (at very rare times).

Because of her flight speed, Dash was given the rank of head weather Seraph, and is also a sophomore at the Thunderbolt Aerial Performers Academy.

Heh, I was the same. Honestly I was never big into MLP just because... well I was into other things and never really cared for kiddy shows like that even when I was a kid. But watching the videos just made me laugh and smile! I think I'm going to have to go through and watch the seasons!

I could probably portray Fluttershy quite well after watching all of those videos.

And I also think you'd make a very interesting Applejack!

Name: Precious Colleen (He likes to go by "Rec")
Age: 19

Classification: Low level conjurer (Aspiring necromancer)
Special Mark: Pink skull under his left eye.

Precious was always sheltered and protected early in his life, until he lost his parents in a freak accident. He was too young then to manifest powers, but that didn't stop him from trying. He did everything he could to resurrect his parents, studied as much as he could find until finally on his sixteenth birthday, his powers manifested themselves... In the most frustrating of ways.

Rec couldn't raise skeletons, or make his dead parents rise up to Happily Ever After. No, when he hit puberty he summoned 'Piku' for the first time. Piku is named for the only sound he makes, standing three feet tall he resembles a bright pink phallus, complete with smooth shiny balls and a pair of large, expressive eyes. The most useless and obnoxious summoning creature he could ever have imagined. Furthermore, Piku always seems to show up at the WORST possible times. Rec has little to no control over the spell.

For years, he's worked diligently and tirelessly at expanding his repetoir. Elemental Alchemical Summonings, Forbidden and Arcane Incantations, Rune Sequences with actual corpses: Piku, Piku, Piku. Maybe someday, Rec can understand why he's been cursed with this dubious ability.

Nickname: Shy, Fluttershy or just Flutter.
Age: 20
Appearance: Here
Classification: Seraph
Special Markings: Three butterflies on her left hip

Shyla was shy. It wasn't just a nickname, it was her personality. She was quiet, reserved, and sweet. Unless mess with her friends, then she was a whole nother level of bitch. How she came to be so shy was a mystery. There was no serious life event that lead to it, she was just born that way. Of course, the name calling didn't do much to change the fact that she was so shy. As a weak flyer she was constantly picked on which only made her more held back, more quiet.

She had a connection to animals. She understood them, cared for them, loved them. They couldn't speak harsh words, they couldn't bring her down which was why she spent most of her time with them. It was her love for animals that gave her the job of being their caretaker.

Special Mark: Half-Apple on left hip

A rather down to Earth and laidback young man, McIntosh has generally been seen as one for a simpler way of life with simple wants and needs. Not that this made him lazy, by any means. Far from it. Always trying from a young age to make himself helpful when it came to being the man around the house, 'Big Mac' found that he was gifted with a certain knack for repair and agriculture. Combined with a naturally big physique and healthy interest in keeping himself fit, and it wasn't any wonder that the eldest sibling found his talents extending beyond helping his family to assisting friends and neighbors whenever possible. Soft spoken and often a man of few words, he's never been a total pushover, and will nevertheless make himself heard if somebody he cares about is seen making a possible mistake or suffering by another's doing.

These days, McIntosh can normally be found working around the family farm, but he's often also seen running errands about town and assisting various people with whatever work they may have for him. Still, his priorities always lean toward both family and friends, making it not unusual for one to find him helping out his younger sisters or their friends at a moments notice.

I must say, I'm rather intrigued by the idea of fully anthropomorphizing this show. Sad to say, as a student of all stories, I've seen the show

Hey! What can I say? An entire series made from Adobe Flash and using a similar value system as the glorious classic cartoons of old, mixed in with current day humor and ADD attention span....yep, that's my generation for you

I think I'll wait and watch for now, but maybe I'll jump in, if I have permission?
