Sorry to be such a slab. I know it's come to the upturn. By January I'll be in fighting trim again.

But in the meantime, I can't say how bucked I feel to have your support and your concern. Not to mention your tongues!



cloudy: I stopped in at the P & J. I had to re-up, anyway, so I had a hundred-dollar check for them. This may have helped to soften their hearts, but I got a sympathetic ear about Leonard.

Actually, I think Time would be well served to do a piece on prisoners. Mumia, Leonard, and that poor bastard Padilla who's been in the news lately. They could do the piece and make Padilla the Man, and still be able to feature Leonard.

I liked the idea well enough to write a letter to the Time editors recommending it. It could be about political prisoners and lost souls in the American prison system generally. The right writr could make a very poignant piece of it.
