Can't these people READ?

So OK, I have an account at B.com. I go there maybe once a week to look around. My profile CLEARLY states that I am unavailable, not into pain, etc., etc. Every once in awhile I get these emails from people who obviously can't or don't read. Pretty typical I suppose, but it does make one wonder.

The one I opened today took the cake. The dude actually gave me his phone number (or what he said was his number), knowing nothing about me, then added that if I wasn't comfortable calling him I could always give him my number and he would just call me. Yeah you psycho, that's gonna happen.

And of course the really funny thing is that it's a form letter. Found out from a friend that his sub got a copy too. GAH!

Well, if you didn't want my phone number, you didn't have to read it... :p

Some people just don't care... I guess they figure that they've got nothing to lose anyway, so why not give it a try...

It's like the old train of thought: If you ask out a hundred people, at least one of them is going to say 'yes'...

But, it still does suck being bothered like that...:rose:

I think sometimes people are hopeful that they can get you to change your mind. I used to have a profile at Alt.com and it says in all capital letters FEMALES ONLY BECAUSE IM GAY. And of course, every day without fail I would get all kinds of messages from guys.

It's not really that they don't read (although, some of them, that is the case) ... they just don't care. They are so wonderful that we will just fall over ourselves to be with them, because they think we should ...

Case in point, I got a real winner tonight ...

Our yahoo profile now states that we are no longer looking because we have some potentials now and want to see where they are going - and in the meantime, don't want to get anyone else's hopes up (honestly, yes, we are still looking, but I don't want the quality that we have been getting from yahoo). A guy messaged - without permission, which is also on our profile to NOT do - and proceeded to tell me that he did read the profile, but he's the best, he can beat any of the ones we are already talking to, and he can't just submit to one Domme, cuz he's the best, so that's why he contacted us ... the last thing I got before I put him on iggy was that he bets he can lift more than any of our current boys ... as if we care ....

Wow... sounds about like the one that My girl and I got a year or so ago. Our profile said: We are a HAPPY couple, our bdsm needs are fulfilled and we are not looking to add a 3rd to our equation. -- A local guy messaged us on yahoo on an account that we share and told us to come to hys house immediately because he needed someone to submit to his DOG... And he was rather serious about this. He proceeded to send us pictures of his sub with his dog, and I have no doubt that it was real because he was dumb enough to have her in front of a car which of course had Texas plates and a local Dodge dealer tag lol. He was a real winner:rolleyes:

Right I remember this guy real real winner. What about the other one that we did actually talk to because he wanted advice on something then the moment he saw a picture of us he didn't talk to us again talk about a real winner.

Lets just hope that he didn't/doesn't breed ... stupidity like that needs to be removed from the gene pool ... with people like that out there, "Brave New World"s set up is looking better and better.

Hey red

It's a form letter babe. He sent me one too! LMAO I gotta wonder if he actually gets any responses.

Yep. (You do know you are the aforementioned sub, right?)

I hope no one is dumb enough to respond.

Well, to be honest it doesn't happen often. But when it does it's always a winner.

I skimmed right over that comment. LOL Yeah, I am the aforementioned sub.

Maybe the wannabe's in your part of the country are more literate than here in SC. LOL

Yeah, and I know that it's par for the course. I'm not really *bothered* by it exactly. It just amazes me sometimes how dense some people can be.

Geez, I'm obviously falling behind! Give me your b.com username and I'll be sure to send you an offer you can ignore! (I'll even throw in my phone number. Of course, we're probably 17 hours out of sync, and it's in New Zealand, so you won't be able to afford to call it... but is that important?)

Actually, it's kinda fun running across Lit people on b.com -- I think I've said hi to about 5 people so far that I know from here.

I don't know anything aout b.com, etc., but I had an account on alt.com. In fact, I met some very nice ladies though that site.

BUT they had this thing called cupid. You put in your likes and dislikes, and I guess the other party does the same. The idea is a computer checks to see who's compatible with who and it sends you emails, like some computer match system.

Unfortunately, cupid didn't always work, correctly. I got lots of cupid connections that weren't right for me. I would go to the site, look at their profile and it would have things I didn't like or didn't have things I liked.

I think alt.com just wanted to stimulate possible connections so you would spend $ to check out the potential hot babe's pictures. I didn't do that, but there was some gal who sent me an email saing "her friend's" profile was perfect for me.

I read it, and she did seem to match mine quite well. She said I should email her (I had to spend money to do that), but she didn't say who she was. She was just a friend of this girl.

You see, I put 2 and 2 together and got crap. Sure, I spent money to see her pictures and to email this girl. She was very pretty and her likes were very close to mine. We're talking very close.

But, I never heard back from her. She was by far the closest connection I had there, and she didn't reply. I thought that whole situation was strange. I now wonder who this so called "friend" really was.

Oh, and this cupid thing? They suggest you create a message that will go to anyone on your cupid list, in case you get a lot of hits and you can't send them all emails. They say you shouldn't let a pretty lady wait for her reply, so let the system send one for you.

That email was kind of a form email, so it could go out to many in reply to an email. Or, it could also go out because cupid thought they were a good match for me. Not quite the same thing, but maybe it's a system sending this guy's form email out? OK, maybe not, but it's just a possibility, even if a slim one.

I found another good connection there, and again paid to get her pictures and abilitly to send an email. She did email back and even gave me her Yahoo messenger I.D. The trouble with that was she never was on Yahoo, that I could tell. I sent her messages, but never got a reply.

So, this kind of stuff goes both ways. I guess there's some catch phrase in what I say that turns them off, after the initial contact. I don't know what that could have been, as I'm really a very lovable kind of Dom. :D

But, to end this very lengthy post, that guy does seem kind of "out there". Texas...everything down there is done big. Even the creeps are over the top, I guess.

Of course my response was a sarcastic comment on his reading ability since if he HAD read my profile as he said, he would have known i had absolutely no interest in someone who is married.

Yeah.....I got it too. I loved the way it said if you weren't comfortable calling him, he'd call you. Like I'd be uncomfortable dialing? :(
Ooops! Meant to hit edit and hit quote by mistake.

Our b.com profile states single males only - and we had some joker contact us who wanted us to dominate him and his wife ... I told him to either get glasses or go back to kindergarten.

I got another one of these around Christmas (Des tells me she got it too). The amusing part about this one is that it started out by telling me that he had read my profile and admired my frankness (or words to that effect).

He then went on to say that he was looking for a sub that he and his slave could dominate, and could I relocate. I want to know exactly what part of my profile was it that he actually read.

I guess this is in case you want to enter him in the sub Olympics?

Some people really don't have a clue in the world.

I keep getting them from guys who say they want me to move to some exotic foreign location, like Greece or Holland (and one joker wanting me to come to NZ :p ), live in a cage to only be let out for play time, or some other stupid crap like that.

Now, my profile says I WILL NOT relocate... also says that anyone looking to run someone else's whole life need not even contact me. so... who is the brainiac there?
