Can't even make copies in safety anymore!

A woman was in a Kinko's copy center here (San Antonio) early today making copies when she was shot, and is in critical condition. Cops think that it probably was a random drive-by.

Sheesh...you aren't safe anywhere anymore, it seems.

No 'seems' bout it! only place your safe is in the north pole or the desert or somethin.

There was a guy shot here today and he had his lil girl with him and she was shot in the back as she ran away cos she saw the shooter

Pity.

It's a pity that we have allowed ourselves to live or die at the mercy of our government. Gun laws are made more stringent, yet no one seems to realize your thugs don't go to a gun store for their pieces, they get them black market. And we are the innocent bystanders of such tactics, defenseless. I feel bad for the woman you speak of, I hope that she will come through this tragedy. This is a world that has fallen further by the hands of those who said they would save it. And its any wonder I trust God implicitly....

Hi Wraith....welcome to Lit. And thank for your comments on this thread. I am in agreement with you about the gun laws, the government, etc. And of course, about trusting God. Sure as heck can't trust the government, and damn few of our fellow humans.

Doesnt matter what the gun laws are. They'll always be around and easy enough to get. What I mentioned happened in te UK and we have tougher gun laws but that didnt make a difference

Funny........ I thought the UK did'nt allow common folk to own firearms. How could something like that happen in a country with no firearms.

Damn. Such a senseless waste. Poor little kid. Didn't do a damn thing wrong but had to suffer. Well, at least she is out of this stupid, crazy world now. Not much to console her loved ones, however.

I am partial to the bumper sticker I see quite a bit here in Texas...
"when guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns".

Having a gun will not always make one safe, but if they are outlawed, you take all the control from the regular guy and give it to the crooks.

people still manage to get them on te blackmarket and they easily mod replicas to fire real bullets and replicas is a big thing here

Just cos its not allowed doesnt mean it wont be there eg drugs

Well, I didn't mean this to be a gun-control debate; I was just commenting on the way life is today. I mean, good grief! The woman was doing something I've done many times before...going into Kinko's to make copies! That could have been me! Or you.

And yes, it is damn scary.
