Candles for Daniellekitten

Thanks everyone. It's really kind of cool to have something up, now though I feel like I have to keep going or...well I'll have a lot of pissed off readers. I'm just hoping I'm not going to sit in front of a blank computer screen again. We'll see.

:rose: I know where you're coming from. I'm in much the same place, and I'm sure you know why. A year isn't all that long, no matter how much of an eternity it feels.

I know it's hard to feel like you're dissapointing your readers, but you've got to take care of you. Having the feedback fall off because you're not on your regular schedule of releases doesn't help the old motivation, either. Everything you write is coming from inside, and when you aren't where you need to be, you just can't force the words out.

I had to step back from some of my stories. I'm still writing on them -- very slowly -- but I'm holding off from posting anything until I either have enough to post a few regularly, or I have the energy/time/frame of mind to keep pace. I also branched out with a new, secret pen name, and started posting quite a few short, odd stories that I let go a lot of my controls on.

No editor. No heavy concentration on plot. No extensive musing or research. Just get an idea, write it, and put it out there. It's keeping me at the keyboard, keeping my screen from being blank, and helping me move the stories that everyone has been waiting for, for far too long.

The love is still there, Danielle. Try looking for one little element of it, a part that's full of inspiration, moreso than the whole that can feel unbelievably daunting to you right now. You may have to let go a little to get back in control.

 Always sending positive energy your way.

Very well-said. You're in my thoughts, too, love.

Dani...I'm so happy you're feeling better...I pray that you continue to heal....Re-Lit

I recently heard from Dani. Just wanted everyone to know that's she's doing well but doesn't have much access to the internet at present. She's still around and still writing.

Still want her to get better :rose:

New update: Dani's doing much better and her internet is now repaired. She's working once again, but taking it slowly. I'm sure we'll hear from her soon.
