Howdy! I'm Chris and my lovely wife is Corinne ( Core Inn, not Coreen lol). We are from Alberta and have been long time fans of this sites stories! We spend a great deal of time camping in the bush where there is no cell service. The day before we leave on a trip we both pick a category and copy / paste as many stories as we can into our phones so that we have lots to read while we're out lol.

I just realized today that there is a forum here too lol.

I have a bit of a background in writing (mostly outdoors related stuff). Corinne and I are swingers and I would love to put some of our experiences and fantasies into a few stories and share them here like others :) My question is how does one go about this? I'm not interested in making any money, just want to share a few stories :)

Thanks!

From your reading, I'd guess that you are familiar with the chosen 'types' of story.

So when planning your story, you aim for a beginning, a middle and an end.
Ask yourself "if the sex was removed would it still be a story?" (as opposed to a simple stroker).

Bear in mind that one Lit page is about 3000 words, so I suggest you aim at about 11,000 for your story (longer, if you can manage it, of course).

Look for an editor (there's a thread for that).

Welcome & Good Luck

I suppose I should have been more clear. Creating the finished product isn't a problem, do I just simply email it to the admin here or.....?

Should mention that I haven't looked around here yet, now that I think about it it's probably here somewhere lol.

Having trouble finding a thread regarding locating an editor, maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.

In this case is an editor paid? Or just another fan of literotica that helps out?

Sorry bout all the annoying newbie questions, is there perhaps a "getting started on writing for this site for dummies" post somewhere? Lol. I know NOTHING about how any of this works and don't wanna offend anyone in the midst of the learning curve (you know how polite Canadians are lol).

One way to find an editor is by posting on the Editor's Forum, with some info about what you need edited. I recommend mentioning word count, genre, and the type of editing you're looking for (e.g. just spelling/grammar, or full "you need to develop this character more" sort of stuff).

For an editor, go to the Editors forum and check out the stickies at the top of the page. Lots of information. You can also ask if there is someone willing to look your story over.

Welcome to the AH by the way.

Familiarize yourself with the forums. Cruise around the story, author, and editor forums. Read every recently-active thread -- even the dumb word games right here on AH (Author's Hangout). Get the feel of the forums. Avoid GB (General Board) unless you're SadoMaso. Maybe explore the fetish and roleplaying forums and the Personals. Make yourselves at home here. Post pix of yourselves engaged in intimacy. Put JamesBJohnson and Scouries(world) on your ignore lists -- unless you're SadoMaso. Generally, have fun, eh?

Hey all.

I think you need to visit the FAQ section atleast. Many of your queries will be cleared.

I look forward to reading your work. :)

My favorite activity too - but alas life is more than sex

Welcome to the club. Looking forward to reading your stuff...

Oh good, I wasn't the only one who was saw a double entendre in the OP :)

OP welcome. Sounds like you might have some interesting stories to post.

Ignore him. ^^^^

Nothing of that sort is real. Put him into your Ignore list to avoid further harassment. :rose:

A welcome  for the little newbie{s} from the good little witch.

Hello from Canada! :)

If you have any queries regarding the submissions to the site, follow the link given by Zeb_Carter on post #18.

And on the #14 post, there is an advertisement for a fake contest. To avoid harassment, please add ScouriesWorld to your ignore list. It'll save you from a lot of headache. :)

Anyways, I hope your time here is enjoyable. Have fun!

Try not to tell your stories as if they were factual; stories should not be real, only true to life. Try to envision the scenes in your mind, try to describe every scent feel, sight, emotion. Make your characters real, but not you, then let your characters run free and establish their own lives. Do not be afraid to let them expand their horizons beyond even what you have experienced. Their feelings should be what your feelings would be if. . . After all one man's reality is another man's fantasy. Last, get yourself an editor, no one should edit their own work.
