Iroquois returns to sea without Sea King

HALIFAX -- The destroyer HMCS "Iroquois" will sail Wenesday for the Persian Gulf - without a helicopter.

The warship was forced back to Halifax last week for repairs after a Sea King crashed into its flight deck.

The ``Iroquois'' will leave with the frigate HMCS "Fredericton."

Well, actually, yes, sort of.

In true Canadian fashion, we've deployed most of our operational assets to go hang out with you guys in the Gulf....but our Government hasn't debated the question of whether we'll be actually allowed to fire any weapons yet.

And we're not likely to agree on that unless the UN sanctions the hit on EyeRack.

So, we're just going over there to be neighborly.



And we're bringing Timmy's, eh?
