I've been reading on this board that there are more guy virgins out there over the age of say... 15. than I thought...
That got me to thinking about misconceptions...
& that lead to what society expects.
that lead to the whole double standard thing.. (how I don't know just nod & smile here my brain is very unusual)
that got me to thinking about people who become "born again" virgins....
Thoughts?
Comments?
Inquiring minds want to know ....
Not really just nosey ones....:D

I had never heard the phrase "Born Again Virgin"
Does it mean that everytime it's up and ready it's born again?
I'm not kidding, I just don't know!

"Born again"

Well. From what I've heard.... When a person no longer wants to just sleep around & is now going to wait until they come across "The One" to have sex again...

Sorry - sounds like a load of BS to me.

Once you've popped your cherry that's it

YES

Why not? If you haven't had sex in a long time, or chose not to, after awhile it might feel like the first time.

I think I'm a virgin again......

Thank you!

Hmm, somehow or other I remember hearing about a woman's hymen growing back after x amount of time without some sort of penetration so I suppose, in that respect, a woman can become a virgin again.

Assuming this is true of course.

Hi JailBait,
Actually I know lots of my friends who are in their early/mid 20s who are still actual virgins. I also know "born again virgins".

Let's see here. My 2nd bf, and American guy had lost his virginity around 17 or so, then he stopped having sex when he got together with the ex right before me. She was mormon, and they never did it (were together for 1-2 years?). He became a mormon during this time, and wanted to wait until marriage. Then they broke up and he met me...ha ha ;)

My 3rd boyfriend (sigh, longest relationship, first love and first broken heart...*sob*) turned out to be a virgin at the age of 22. I took his virginity, now he's going out with a girl who's a virgin of 23 and she told him she wants to wait for a year,so I guess you can say he's a "born again" virgin.

Third example, I have an indian friend. He was 27 and a virgin, we dated very briefly and such. Now he's gone back to his old ways, he's just not one to sleep around. Think it won't be again until he gets married (which probably will be in a couple/few years.)

The closest to this that I've heard is that after so long with out sex the womans vagina tightens up... myth?

lovepotion...

wow... lots of examples...
but I'm talking about those who have actually declaired themselves "Born Again Virgins" or some such thing...

I also think it's a load of BS. You have done it, you have had sex with someone, or multiple people. All you are doing now is abstaining. So, tell people, I am abstaining until I meet the one. Not, well, I had sex with 63 people, but I swear, I wasn't ready yet, so now, I get to be a virgin again.

It doesn't work that way. If it did, our hyman's would grow back. They don't. Virgin means to have never done something before, whether it is marked by the breaking of a hymen. Just because you change your mind later on in life, doesn't mean it never happened. It means you have decided that it's better to wait, for what ever reason. I totally agree with someone having the ability to change thier minds, and stop. But they are still not a virgin anymore.

Born again virgin. Sounds like something a recovering whore would say to make herself feel better. :)

Once you've had sex you are not, and will never again be, a virgin.

Simple as that. When it's over, it's over.

It does. At least for me. If I haven't had it for a couple/few months, then it does feel tighter the next time I do it again. Kinda nice though....hehe :D

Very eloquently put.

Nice legs BTW

This is not a rant!

It sounds to me like so much childish crap now that I understand the premise. Imature minds run rampant trying to justify either their own or others beliefs because they want it to be true.

That's why all the pot heads and druggies I sent to prison loved to bring up ancient history about famous people using drugs. They were trying to justify it's usage in spite of the fact it wasn't illegal back then, but it is now. You are either a lawbreaker or you aren't.

They same apply's for "woman's hymen growing back after x amount of time without some sort of penetration " ! Yes it does, or at least can, but she lost her virginity along with the original hymen and no matter how long she goes without sex she isn't a virgin.

A womans pussy will adapt to the size of any cock that gets shoved in it on a regular basis. If she fucks more than one guy and the size of each guys dick is different the she will be a perfect fit for the guy that is largest. Make sence?

Now, with that last comment in mind, all you ladies throw that lifelike John Holmes cock in the trash and get one your S/O will love you for using! LOL

wow - that was longer than I thought!

The only time I've heard of people being "born again virgins" was in a nunnery? I had thought there was some time frame, and some sort of ritual to be declared a "born again virgin" so that they could marry Christ and become a Nun...but I'm not 100% on that :)

The other time I have heard of it is a few friends whose introductions to sex were rapes. Since they had intercourse, but not of their own volition, in their mind they went through things and had personal bits of ritual to be "born again" into their virginity. In their mind, they were virgins again at the time they chose to give up their sex to someone they cared for...

Other than those examples...I'd say it's a load of crap too. :D

I thought a nunnery was another word for "whorehouse"? was I just being gullible?

maybe for women.

Naw! That's probably just a man's fantasy, huh?

Once you lose it, it's gone forever, that's what's so nice about fantasies.

No... really... I know I'm going to get all anoying about this now, but I remember in high school when we were talking about Hamlet that when it says "Get thee to a nunnery" he's talking about a whorehouse....
