Can you change a stand-alone title to be part of a series?

If I want to take a previously posted stand-alone story and change it to be part of a series, can that be done without posting a new separate instance of the story?

Apologies if this topic has been posted before. I did try a search, but nothing came up that answered my question.

You can just manually create a series in your Control Panel and include the stories you want.
The automatic creation of a series based on "Pt. X" or "Chapter Y" in the titles is more of a quality of life feature.
