Can We Say An Insult to Sting

Sting apparently wasn't a big enough act alone. Gwyn Stefani had to sing with him.

Good god, what has American taste come to?

The band wouldnt play unless Gwen Stefani had her chance to screw it up?

The guy can still sing

I was thinking the same thing. I wanted to kick her off the stage, she kept getting in the cameras way when I was trying to look at Sting.

When Sting hits puberty, he might sing louder and deeper than gwen.

She's hot. He's...Sting.

I do like Sting's voice.. but truely I think Shania outsung both Gwen and Sting tonight. Of course, I'm very partial to Shania, and I'm 'not' a big country music fan. :)

I was actually impressed with No Doubt the band and their playing... as for Gwen, she sung better during Message in a bottle, than Just a girl.

Showstopper

Ah!

Thank you Jim. I couldn't remember who the hell was singing.

I knew Shania and I knew Sting. But couldn't for the life of me remember Gwen or No Doubt. You have saved me from going crazy!

:)

Anyone else notice that Sting hasn't performed by himself in ages? He just joins in on old Police songs with P.Diddy, Coors, No Doubt... guess he's too busy practicing tantra.

An "insult" to Sting? How about turning it around and saying a priviledge to Gwen? Or... maybe a priviledge to STING for getting to be there in the first place since he has been a "has been" for quite some time.

Sting's been over-rated for his whole singing career. Much like many of the performers that sing at the Super-Bowl.

Much like the Super Bowl?

Sting has proven, over years of hard work, that those two no-name dudes were the talent in The Police.

Wow.

I actually like Sting a great deal. He has been perhaps one of the most genre-blending musicians that's been around in a long time. His pop music makes for great jazz, too, just as he meant it to be, I'd guess.

Of course Stewart Copeland and Andy Summers weren't slouches, but they didn't carry Sting either.

I was pretty saddened to see that No Doubt, when given the chance, had to perform their very first hit, isntaed of something new and fresh. I'm guessing that they haven't had anything new that wasn't complete shit in a while.

Shania's beginning to bore me, though. I do have her newest CD(s), and they were an interesting approach, but her music all sounds the same to me anymore.

Actually, I really enjoyed Sting's portrayal of a villian in "Dune" at the time.

Am I the only one who thought Shania was lip syncing? When she walked down the runway thing into the crowd, it looked like she stopped singing for several seconds, and there was no crowd noise at all on her mic. That big ass choker she was wearing would have covered up the fact that her throat wasn't moving.

The only thing that makes me think she might really have been singing is she sounded like she had one hell of a cold.

My son's thought Shania was lypsynching and after a bit I think I saw her move her lips while there was no words being sung. As to the Sting thing...he didn't look tooooo bad, but come on, they had a great show last year and then this year...well...it was kinda second rate. Shania did look pretty god damned good though, considering she has just recently had a baby and all. And gwen looked ...toned, too bad she can't sing as well as she can move. And...if Sting would have moved much at all I think he would have fallen over...he looked...well, like he was somewhere else, not on the stage.

LMAO!! That is so true. Just ask Stewart Copeland.
