Can Too Much Sleep

Not sure about the migranes, those are a constant for me. But yes, if I sleep too much, I end up with headaches, neckaches.

I have noticed I get more migraines when my sleep patterns are irregular...too much, or too little, can help trigger them.

Same here

I don't know about too much sleep, never had that problem, and on occation I've slept more that 18 hours non stop. I do find that a combination of too much coffee/cigarettes, lack of excercise, and dehydration will produce nasty head aches. Most comonly it's the hydration issue causing them. Most people don't realize that the body needs around 3-6 litres of water a day (depending on activities). Coffee, Soda, Tea, leads to increased dehydration.

Not true
This is a common misconception
WebMD has a great new article up debunking the idea that you need quite as much water as is often reccomended, and also refuting the myth that caffienated beverages signifigantly increase dehydration :D

I wouldn't say "Myth", I speak from personal experience. I spend alot of time on the road, if I drink too much coffee, I get some nasty head aches, switch to water, headaches go away. If I don't drink water, the head aches can last for more than 24 hours. Pain killers won't stop it, but water does "Myth" I think not.
Reminds me of a study years ago that said that sugar/softdrinks/ candy doesn't make kids hyper.......I know plenty of parents who almost died from the laughter. Several were more than willing to drop their kids off at the lab, after loading them up with candy bars and soda.
Studies can be misleading, you'll find a study that proves any point of view you want. Many studies are not properly conducted, or the testers have a motive and skew the results to prove it.
My comments were posted from personal experience, not lab studies, but then again, what works for me, isn't always going to work for someone else. Example:If you have a tumor causing migrains, no amount of H2O or Motrine is going to make them go away.

It was probably the excess of caffeiene, not the dehydration, doing it
Caffeine is a vasoconstrictant, and too much of it will restrict blood flow to the brain, leading to immense headaches
Not to mention staying hyped up & awake that long gives you headaches & jitters

The studies I mentioned didn't say you'd be just fine swilling tons of caffeinated beverages & no water, they just say the idea that you needed 8 glasses or some other arbitray amount of water a day was BS and that you COULD get good rehydration from caffeinated drinks :D

Everything in moderation tho

Except BJs, I'll takes those as much as I can get them :D

Please forgive the slight hyjack Avery_Chisholm. I don't suffer from migraines unless I overdo it at the Pub the night before. But.... on the subject of oral......One can never have too much of that! :p
