Sounds like a possible hiatal hernia or maybe an ulcer.

Why does he want to do a scope and not an Upper GI? (which is less invasive and cheaper).

he said if my stomache lining was irritated, nexium would help heal the lining. Also he suspected acid at first, but ruled it out later.

as for cheap?? He also wants to do a nuclear function test on my gall bladder.

Hes always been good about costs. My daughter hurt her finger, and instead of doing xrays, he saved me money by splinting it anyway. He said if it was broken or just jammed, it would need a splint...... so he skipped the x rays to save me the 200$
