Sure you can, and fromthe Sample you attached, you probably should -- it's very good and would add a lot to a story.

How to.........

Dear D21,
When you submit your story, write a note that you're sending a .gif to accompany the story. Send the .gif via EMail. Laurel will see that it gets attached to the story.

I did one that way once, and it worked nicely.

Ps. Your drawing is VERY good.

Or, as I say: "When you draw a portrait, it either looks just like the person you tried to draw - or it's good."

capture the essence.....tell a story
Dear Nosey,
If you will look at the drawing D21 attached, I think you'll agree that it does both very well. Very talented.

I was taking issue with the generalization about realism....not taking issue with svenska either.
Dear Nosey,
I've heard that stuff from amphibians before.

yes, D has a tight hand.

However...now don't get me started...too late.
Do not take "realism" as talent or a measure of greatness.....certainly realism gives a universal measure of technical skill...and D shows that.

I am not picking on D....only up on my "soapbox" about realism.
my thought is: we have photography now.....so let's let hand drawn/painted images reflect the hand which made them...and/or ADD something which photography cannot provide.

blah blah blah....

rhino

well if you get a soap box so do I
(only mines bigger ha :D )

Since we have computer animation and all like manners of things then art is obselete. There was actually a study out there saying that today's artists are just as good if not better than those we call classic or learn from (ah the student has become the teacher sort of thing) the only thing that cant be mimicked is the age of these pieces.)
anyway I just do those pics for fun I'm actually a designer and I'd never be a traditional artist because it might ruin my creativity to whore my talent out like that

Destinie,

not obsolete at all. I agree that there is a MASS of talent in the world now...technical talent AND even creative talent...I believe there is MORE of a need for it..... now it extends beyond just images on paper or canvas or in stone and bronze....
I think there is still a longing for hand crafted imagery.
"whoring" oneself implies you are compromising yourself and values.

In these days most people don't just appericiate art there generally has to be an angle anyway when I said" whoring " I simply meant I'm afraid if I'm asked to create on demand or deadline I wont be able to or if I do make it ut really wouldn't be my best work. In fashion i can work because creating clothes (at least fo me) doesn't invilve putting feeling (or my heart and soul really into it)

I can't see that AV-attachment. Does anyone else?
Yes, I could see it fine. BTW, your AV Svenska doesn't have any nipples.
