Can someone explain why:

I post my address at the request of Loving DUNG, who says "I'm going to teach you a lesson"

LOVING DUNG does nothing, except make the lame attempt to send me some magazine subscriptions.....and even those don't show up.

LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE'S GOT THAT VAGINA SMELL ABOUT THEM....

There are too many stalkers and freaks in the world today. It would be crazy to post such personal information. In fact, I would urge people to mask personal information as much as possible in here. It is easy to track people down if you give too much real data.

I had such a situation. I posted my first name (might be real, might not) and the University I was attending (maybe, maybe not), and my major (perhaps). A person here (who will remain nameless, as he has apologized) checked the Univesities list of registered students and found that no one named Connie was listed as a student in that department.

That incident almost cuased me to leave Lit. I never knew it was that easy to get additional personal information. I had some suspicions, which is why I had already masked much of my identity. Much of what I post is a fictionalization of the truth. I do so for my own protection. I would urge others to do the same.
 
I can certainly see the reason not to post you personal information on here. On the other hand, I'm a big boy and I can handle myself, as well as any "stalkers" or anyone else who wants to look me up, for whatever reason.

The moron, Loving Tongue, thought he was dealing with someone like himself. IE someone without any nuts when they don't have a computer keyboard in front of them. That isn't me.

I agree 100%. Everyone should read your post. As the old saying goes - " A girl (or boy) can not be too careful these days". You just do not know who is out there or what they are prepared to do.

Those of us who've been here a while will remember the whole Kid rock and Sexy Thang incident and their little trick of charming someones personal info out of them then posting it all over the internet....very nasty and quite cruel too.

P.S. I'm gonna bump a very old thread for you guy's to look at....just look out for Kid rocks name in the thread title.

people have in the past given out personal info and been badly burnt....so I guess there is a need for a post like this every now and then just to remind people.

The issue that is actually being discussed is that
a) Only stupid people post their name and home address online and challenge someone to a fight
b) WARBRIDE (see: a) is a lying sack of shit who said I said I planned to "teach him a lesson" when I did not
c) This fight started because WARBRIDE said I should be shot for opposing the draft.

In short: you're dead wrong, and if you persist in making those above claims I'll be more than happy to provide a link to the thread showing WARBRIDE was lying and where he was being an idiot by posting his address.
