A quote, I think I heard in passing on the news from John Edwards wife about why her husband was not getting equal media coverage in the current Presidential campaign.

Forgive me, please, I explain:

For twenty years, I drove to work at 5am, each morning, five days a week, sipping sweet coffee from a thermos and eating a fried egg sandwich with hot mustard, switching news channels, trying to find an opening line for my 6am radio talk show. I would try to create and formulate my opening monologue which had to be stretched to either the first phone call or the first scheduled commercial.

Get the picture? Thas what I did; how I made my beans.

Like Morse Code, which I learned in the Navy at age 17, I still hear the dit dit dit, dah dah dah, dit dit dit, of SOS, in my dreams and I still hear the news and formulate an opening line and monologue, but now it is for the AH and not live broadcast radio.

Such a deal.

Sue me.

I thought about a new thread, “Democrats offer a Woman and a Black as Candidates, Who’da thunk it?”, but I was holding that until February.

As much as I dislike Democrats and their philosophy, someone should tell them, it ain’t gonna fly; the American voters will reject both.

As a humorous alternative, I suggest, to avoid the eminent disaster, that the Democrats recruit former New York Mayor, Rudy Guiliani to run as a Democrat, opposing former Senator Fred Thompson in the general elections a year from November. The Democrats would still lose, but it would be a more interesting race.

I am also emailing this to various news and blog outlets, so you may read or hear of it elsewhere.
