"There's no way I'm letting Stacy out in this weather," I say. I have my clothes and jacket and everything on and I make my way out to the car. "I will be there as soon as possible, alright? I love you, baby."

"Ok, baby," I tell you and get off the phone. A while later you arrive at the hospital, where Don and I look like a MASH unit. Don has his arm in a cast and has taken pain medication that has him groggy. I have a giant wrap around my thigh and a knee brace on as a precaution. The left side of my body is bruised, my face is bruised, and my eye is bloodshot. I undersold the extent of the wreck to you on the phone, and that seems apparent.

"Reece," I whisper and I come over and gently kiss you, smoothing your hair out. "You're in a lot worse shape than you told me. When are you two able to get out?" I keep looking at you tenderly and with lots of concern.

"Doctors say I'm okay, baby," I try and hug you and wince. "I'm just banged up. A crunched knee, but nothing is torn or broken. A couple of bruised ribs. Donnie got the worst of it. We couldn't stop," I start to fight back some tears. "I didn't want to leave you this morning because I was scared of something like this."

I start to cry too and I tenderly hug you. "I'm bring you both home, I'm taking Don to his and Stacy's place, and then I'm tucking you in the clubroom and making sure that you don't move until you're 100%, is that clear?"I say, my emotion hugely apparent.

"Baby, nothing is broken. I'm just sore is all. I can stay with you upstairs." I even take a moment to joke. "Don's not sleeping with us though."

I give a soft chuckle. "I don't care, I don't trust you going up those stairs," I tell you. "I will tie you down to that bed if I have to, do I make myself clear?" I am crying openly now.

"Baby, come here," I hug you again. "I'm fine. It's all okay," I tell you, trying to comfort you. "I'm not leaving you tonight, or ever," I say, meaning both our bed and our life. "Okay?" I smile a sore smile.

I kiss your forehead. "I know you are. I know it." I pull back and look at Don. "Did you talk to Stace?" I ask you.

"Yeah, on the way here," I say. "She wanted to come, but with her baby, I didn't want to risk it, which is why I'm taking Don back to their place. By the way, Don," I say, looking over at him. "You might want to soothe her, she's hysterical."

Don nods a groggy nod, and I help him up to get him to the car. We hobble out together behind you leading the way.

I drive Don home first, where Stacy is waiting outside for him. I help him to the porch, where Stacy hugged him fiercely and started giving a long, eloquent speech about how worried she was and everything as I make my way back to the car and drive us home. I help you into the house and have you sit down on the couch, where I cover you with blankets and get you a hot chocolate.

I gradually fall asleep on the couch, in your arms. A deep, exhausted sleep from the crazy day. After I do, my phone goes off and you see it is Riley calling.

"Oh, hey Lynn," she says. "Is Reece there? He and Don aren't here. I opened, but none of our inventory is here and I can't find them."

"They didn't get the inventory," I explain softly. "They got into a crash, they're both home right now. Reece is sleeping."

"Stacy and I are fine, we weren't with them. Both of them got banged up pretty good, Don's got a broken arm, and Reece has a few bruised ribs and nearly crushed his knee. Everyone's okay, Riley," I soothe.

"Okay, good," she says. "I will handle the bar tonight, but I may have to close early. You take care of the boys," she tells you.

"Stacy's got hers, and when I left, she was giving a nice, long eloquent speech. I'll take care of mine, don't worry about that," I tell her. "Just let everyone know, okay?"
