I wake up and see the time and gently shake you awake. "Baby? You overslept your alarm," I whisper. I was in pain again, but I wanted to get you up. "Baby?"

"Huh?" I say again, and then, "Oh, shit." I get up and begin racing around. "We have a new waitress training today and I was supposed to be there."

I shake my head, amused you slept through your alarm. "Relax, I texted Don after I woke up and realized you overslept, he understands completely, he's rushing there himself," I tell you, helping you out with getting ready. "I'll be here for when you get home, okay baby?" I ask. I kiss your cheek. "I'll call you if I need anything, okay? I love you."

I smile, then go to the bathroom, where I struggle to unwrap, clean, and rewrap my hand for an hour. It was kind of sloppy, but worth it. I then eat a few crackers and take my meds before heading back to bed and sleeping.

I call you around lunch to check in. I stand in the bar while the phone rings and catch myself checking out the new girl's body.

"It's okay, baby, I managed to do it. . . It's kind of sloppy, though," I say with a sleepy giggle. "Took my meds afterwards and went straight back to bed. "How's it going at work?"

"Baby?" I ask. "You sound distracted. . . Did a nice piece of ass walk in?" I'm teasing you, knowing that you love a woman's ass. "Or is Don being a goof again?"

"Well, yes," I say. "All of that," I report as Don burns himself attempting some stupid new bar trick. "You, uh....need to meet Kaylee." I tell you.

I laugh. "Alright, then. I'll meet her tomorrow, I don't feel like moving," I say. "Glad you're doing well, what did Don do this time?"

"Ouch!!" I wince. "He's probably really distracted right now, especially because that girl of his is gonna be a mommy and is still probably reeling from that night. . ." I look at my hand and wince. "What time are you coming home tonight?"
