"Made breakfast," I tell you, climbing back into bed with the hot plates and setting yours down on the trays I had pulled out. "Careful, baby, it's really hot," I tell you, kissing your cheek.

I shake my head. "Ginger's having surgery, and my math class is mainly online," I explain. "Not that I want to go anywhere after this week," I add with a laugh. I start eating.

"Well, I'm having lunch with Riley," I tell you. "You can go, but probably shouldn't." I say, obviously sorry about this.

"I'll stay home," I say. I reach over and squeeze your hand, knowing this wasn't easy for you. "Do give her my best, though," I add. "It may not mean much to her now, but it will later on, or so I hope, and let me know when you're on the way home." I look at you. "I'll work tonight, too," I add.

I smile. "You sure? I haven't gotten a whole lot of hours in. . ." I twist to put my plate on my side nightstand and my side flares up and I wince. "Damn side," I growl in pain, looking at it. It looked better, but damn, it was hurting. "On second thought, maybe working isn't such a brilliant idea," I note.

I don't want to stay home, but I knew that it was for the best, not only because of my physical state, but my warbling mental state. "No, you didn't break anything. . . what time do I come in tomorrow?" I ask.

"3pm to 11pm." I tell you. "After school." I stretch and stand up to get ready. "I'm picking Riley up at the bar. She's opening and we are going to Buckingham's to discuss....ugh," I say, not able to finish.

"I know, baby," I tell you softly. I curl back up in bed and watch you. "Do you close tonight?" I ask softly. I know you might have to, but I didn't want to be alone for too long, and wanted to see if I needed to go back to my apartment real quick to get something.

"I do," I say. "I close all week. I've been leaving too much to Don and Scott and our margins are down," I say. "I need to step it up and get back in more."

"I understand sweetie," I tell you, and I do. "Let Don know what's been going on, I know he's worried about you. . . when he's not working or fucking Stacy," I say with a smile. "I just want to run by my apartment real quick and get a few things," I explain as I slide out of bed and dress, putting on sweatpants and leaving the shirt I slept in on.

"Why don't you break your lease," I say, smiling suggestively and watching your eyes to see if you understand.

"Why don't you break your lease," I say, smiling suggestively and watching your eyes to see if you understand.

"You. . .want me to move in with you?" I ask. My lease was over at the end of December, and I hadn't really thought about renewing it, like the semi procrastinator I am. My eyes light up.

I hug you, extremely happy. "Oh my God, thank you!!" I squeal, kissing you hugely, ignoring the stab of pain I just gave myself. "My lease ends December 29, so I just won't renew it, and as soon as school lets out, I'll start the true moving process!" I say, dancing in your arms.

"I love you too, baby," I say, squirming against you. I look at the clock. "You're going to be late," I tell you gently. I kiss you hard. "Be good, be safe, I'll see you when you get home, okay?"

I take off and spend a long day at the bar. I call you on the way home. "Baby you want me to bring you something to eat?"

"If you could bring home some of that fettuccine alfredo with chicken, that'd be lovely," I say. I was curled up in bed again, lavender candles lit again, reading and holding onto a stuffed panda I got when I was ten. My dad had bought for me, and I never feel alone with it. "I'll see you in a little bit," I tell you. "Love you."

I tell you I love you and head home. When I arrive I come upstairs and find you with panda. "Well, it's the cutest little girl in the world," I say. "What's up baby?"
