I get you home and let you in ahead of me. "I'm glad you made it tonight since you're not feeling well, baby." I close and lock the door.

"Come here," I say, picking you up and carrying you to bed before laying down withyou. "I'm going to get you to sleep and then I'm going to go down to the kitchen, ok?"

I go downstairs and pour a glass of whiskey and light a couple of candles. I sit in the darkness on the couch, alone with my thoughts, crashing there, sound asleep after not too long.

I wake up in the ,middle of the night, and I look for you, wanting to be in your arms. I go downstairs where I find you on the couch. I gently wake you. "Come upstairs love"

I wake up, still tired, and follow you upstairs. I strip to my boxers and get in bed. "How do you feel?" I ask, still groggy.

I pull your arms around me from behind and lay there letting you wrap me up. "Love you," I say, before quickly nodding off.

Saturday starts early since the game kicks off at 11. I get up and around and wake you to see how you feel. "Are you going to work today, baby?" I ask.

I had been up a couple hours, after throwing up, and was contently reading in bed. "I do feel better," I say. "It's game day, right?"

"Yes dear," I say. "Last day of fall fling. All the dirty perv alums will be there to see our girls look hot. You in or out?"

"I can do that," I tease. "I think I have a cut off jersey I can use for tonight." I wink at you and get out of bed, stretching. I walk over to you and kiss you passionately.

I take in your kiss and kiss you back. "Mmmm, what did I do to earn that?" I ask. I watch you get ready and at some point catch you in the bathroom facing the mirror in just your panties and bra. I come in behind you and kiss your neck but prevent you from turning around. I just look at us in the mirror and run my hand down over your stomach, low. "Baby, I can't believe it," is all I can say.

"Neither can I," I admit. "But you know what? I'm the happiest I've ever been in my life." I look up at you with a smile. "And I'm damn glad I walked into that bar all those months ago, and I'm glad that I'm spending the rest of my life with you." I hold up my engagement ring on my finger and smile.
