I laugh. "Yes, I did!" I insist, knowing you're being silly. "Can I come hang out at the bar today?" I ask.

I think for a moment. "I want to come down and hang out, baby," I say. "I won't work, and I'll have someone take me home at the first sign of trouble, alright?"

Smiling, I get dressed in cute jeans and a sweater and head down to the bar, taking a seat right up at the bar. "Hey, Don, can I get a sweet tea?" I ask. I was still on my alcohol ban. I smile at Riley. "How are you?" I ask. I kiss your cheek when you walk by.

"I'm ok," I say. "We have 5 or 6 thousand dollars of damage from the fight earlier." I shake my head. "Fucking primates."

"Hazard of running a bar," I remind you with a reassuring kiss. I notice Kaylee giving me daggers and I roll them off. I smile at Riley. "Hey, thanks for earlier. Reece told me about it." I sip my tea and smile happily.

Riley just rolls her eyes, at the situation and not you, before putting on a mock polite smile and returning toward the hostess stand. "I don't like her," she tells you as she goes.

I chuckle and sip my drink. I look up at you and give you a reassuring smile. "Told you I'd be fine," I assure you.

I smile and shake my head and look at Don. "Scott really is stupid, isn't he?" I ask playfully. "Maybe when I'm better, I can see if I can fix that." I'm giggling. "Don, did you spike this?" I ask him, playfully tapping on my tea glass. "You didn't give me a Long Island tea by any chance?"

I laugh. "Alright, because I'm feeling extra giddy, and that only comes with a Long Island tea. . ." I give you a playful kiss blow from across the bar with a happy laugh.

"Yes," I answer for Don. "I'm just feeling a little giddy right now! Don SWEARS he didn't give me a Long Island tea, but that's the only thing that makes me this giddy." I giggle and kiss your cheek. "I'm fine, baby."

"You got it," I say and have Don turn in the order for you. A while later, Riley brings your food and sits at the bar stool next to yours.

I nod, understanding. "I feel like I've done almost nothing BUT sleep since the attack," I confess. "If you're having trouble sleeping, take some melatonin, it helps with sleep. Used to take it in high school."
