I just ate a 16 inch "pig" of a calzone.

One word, AWESOME!

Italian pastry food never fails to satisfy.

A good italian joint can customize the insides for you.

We have a good place that uses the most wonderful cheeses ricotta, mozzarella, oh yum!!!
 
Stromboli and calzone are the same.

The only difference is how you fold the dough.

ya pretty much. Ive noticed Stromboli is generally rectangular and Calzones tend to be more round.

Commonly you will hear people say one is just cheese and the other is meats and cheese. In Italy both are the same except folded differently. Same goes with many pasta dishes. Same sauce but different noodle.
 
I also love Italian food... Not what I woulda used for ingredients, but yay for you! Oh my god, I love food...
