Come on....'fess up! The Cleo chick has commercials on every station all hours--she pays for that by having loads of callers--someone here MUST have called at some point. Especially since she offers a "free" readin'.
Give us all the gritty details. Don't be a tease...
I heard about the lawsuit too--but sure enough, I turn on the TV and there she is--with better commercials than she used to have--I wonder how many callers it takes to pay for one of those airtime slots. Not to mention all the rest--she has to be making a killing to be advertised more than the ambulance chasing lawyers and wrestling programs.
I do believe in psychic's. I am sure there are ones that are gifted...but I am not getting that "vibe" from Miss Cleo. I think she is hella funny to watch, and if you notice there are some GHETTO ass people calling her on her commercial. Anyhow, in the valley in Southern Ca, sorta near Woodland Hills, there is a whole industrial park that has many, many buildings filled to the brim with "Psychics" and phone sex people. I worked there for a bit when I was 19. Then my brother called me and told me he was working for Miss Cleo's hotline. I mean he thinks he knows everything but he sure as hell isn't psychic...psycho maybe..lol..J/K...
What bugs me about Miss Cleo's hotline (one of many things) is the fake Jamaican accent and persona. Would it have been that hard to find an actress with a real Jamaican accent to portray their product spokesperson?
I read a report a week ago that the "person" on the phone when you call Ms. Cleo is actually a 51 year old man immitating a woman. Fear not, it's a real woman on the TV commercials and infomercials. But not on the phone. So if you've wasted your time calling her/him, BEWARE.
Notice that alot of the so-called psycic hotlines often consisted of out of work actors/actresses/performers. And it all started with Dione Warwick. Where is she now?
Dionne Warwick...I remember when she hosted Solid Gold. What a show!
This is weird, but there's something appealing to me about Miss Cleo. I'd never call her hotline because I'm not a believer in that stuff, but when I see her on TV I like her. She's so funny answering all the silly questions given her. I especially like it when she helps women determine the paternity of their child. It's surprising to me how often she does that in the commercials! Is this a much-needed service? There must be a lot of women out there leading much more exciting lives than I...
The graveyard DJ's on the talk radio that I listen to (www.johnjeff.com) had a great show about her. First, about the fact that it's really a guy on the phone.
And secondly, why is it that they only predictions are of something positive?
