Nice laws. Because of a glitch you get free stuff:

Free $50 savings bond from CleverClubhouse:

"As a California resident, you are not required to try Clever Clubhouse to receive your $50 Savings Bond. To receive the form to send for your $50 Savings Bond, with no obligation to join Clever Clubhouse, please send in a 3- X 5-inch post card with your name, mailing address, apt. number, city, state and zip. Please include code: AGN32SBNI.

Send to: Clever Clubhouse, c/o USA Fulfillment, P.O. BOX 4813, Chestertown, MD 21690-4813. Please allow four to six weeks for delivery of your $50 Savings Bond once we receive the signed request form you'll receive by mail. Only one premium per household."

For a free digital camera use code CAMDGT

For a free George Foreman Grill use code: GFGRILL

The post office might not deliver a 3x5 index card so put it in an envelope. A bunch of people have gotten the grill & camera already so it is worth a stamp.

But, why?

Cos they have a law that a loan can't be an incentive for purchase. it's designed to protect from car dealers from making you buy insurance.

Last year MSN had a similar situation. If you went to Best Buy you could buy 408 worth of electronics for 8 dollars. All you had to do was sign up for MSN then cancel it the next day. Everybody else had to commit to like 8 years of MSN to get the 400 (and if they canceled the acct, they'd owe MSN 400 bucks)

I bet PC's going to regret he moved away from California.
