When I was moving down to S.D., I'd asked around for good shops for both tattooing and piercing.

Well, now we're moving upstate so the b/f can finish school - about an hour away from San Fran and Sacramento both..

So.. I need another list :D S.F. preferred.

Too many tats on a chick becomes unattractive

Honestly? I'm not going for attractive. I'm going for what I'm happy with.

The average person walking down the street wouldn't know I was tattooed if they saw me wearing a tanktop and shorts, unless I was going sockless.

And let's say a chick undressed infront of me to reveal half her body with doodles and drawings....i'd be turned off

Quite the hypothetical.

Yeah, but I know in your deluded mind you think your current b/f is for life.

But the chances are he isn't.

Chicks look better unblemished.

One tat can be nice/classy...over doing it isn't the right thing

I suggest you don't have anymore.

Don't be silly. I don't know the future.

I had all of these before I met him. He doesn't give a shit.

Obviously if this relationship ends and I meet someone new, the new guy and I would have the same interests and other things in common. He'd like the tattoos or move the fuck on.

And he'd know about my tattoos long before there was any stripping going on, thats for damn sure.

But I'm telling you that too many tats AREN'T attractive to the sophisticated male such as myself.

And are you saying you only go for guys that share your tattoo interest?

s-h-a-l-l-o-w

No, I'm saying that it is an interest of mine. I enjoy drawing them and getting them done. Most people, including myself tend to gravitate towards people who have similar interests, that doesn't mean a guy has to be an avid Tattoo fan.

My b/f has none, will never get any and could live without them on me, but he doesn't mind since I like them.

And go easy on the piercings too

You'll look like a butch lesbian

I used to have a lot more body piercings than I do now (2)

You're proud of your tats

Why have them in areas that are hidden?

Two reasons:

The first, which was my only reason when I was 18 and got the first was that I got them for me. 3 of them are extremely personal and mark events/dates etc. Nobody else really needed to see them.

The second, and current is that I want a career where I'm better off not having them visible early on or possibly at all, which is fine because of reason 1.

If the world worked the way I wanted it to, tats would be appropriate with every employer in the world, but it doesn't.

But surely if you're so adament that tats are cool/classy/acceptable...you'd have strong enough principles to take the jobs that allow you to be...you

Uh, I want a certain career. I'm not changing the career I want to spend the rest of my life in over some ink.

And now just ink?

As I said, one or two tats can be very nice.

5 is overboard

I'd stop now, by the time you're 60 with droopy skin...things don't look so hot.

LOL. When I'm droopy, I'll be droopy anyway, so who cares.

And compared to a career that I really want to spend the next 30 years working in, the tattoos are less important. Besides, I could always tattoo my sagging ass when I'm 65 and retired.

5 isn't really overboard.

One of them is not even half of an inch big around, and I'm actually going to be covering the one stupid mistake I did make, not getting another whole tattoo.
