I don't know if it's just me, or the fact that BYU is a stodgy Mormon school, but the pics of their cheerleaders from the NCAA tournament in those white tight tops seem to be the sexiest of all. That, and the expression on the girl's face whose legs are spread wide on the way down from a stunt.

Go to si.com and click on the pics from "tournament cheerleaders south"

Only true for antique mormons, not the mainstream members.

what about the racism? is that still cool or did they edit that part out for more money in the collection plate as well?

Racism was pretty common among all the white Christian organisations back in the same time period right up to the 1960s. The mormons were hardly unique in that, they did however accept plenty of Japanese members. Mormons are big in Japan. I was amused to find out that the japanese mormons are more strict than the American ones; apart from coffee, tea, and alcohol, the Japanese mormons won't drink Coca Cola either ;)

I have her on ignore, but I'm assuming the Lovelynice posted to say that BYU, cheerleaders, Mormons, and basketball are fabrications created by the Bush administration to gain support for the war on terror.

If you want to attack Mormons for racism, without looking at the other predominantly white Christian church organisations in the USA doing exactly the same thing in the same time period, carrying on in exactly in the same racist way, then I have to say you are either ignorant or have some other problem besides a complaint about racism. There are plenty of racists in lots of American church groups, not just the Mormons, and you seem to be pretty ignorant of the fact that there are many different Mormon groups - they aren't all part of the same monolithic church.

Your ignorance on the matter is just as stupidly moronic as those idiots who carry on about all muslims being terrorists.

I didn't think Mormons were quite what could be considered another denominatin of christianity. But I'm not into debating it either. Just saying.

Neither will any of the Mormons I know here in America. They abstain from caffeine completely.
I disagree with mormon theology 100% but outside of the polygamy thing, the ones I know are really damned good people.

See now that's what I meant to say.

Well, I'm not a Mormon either. I know a few, from about three different Mormon church organisations (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Reformed Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and a couple of Antique Mormons). The polygamy thing isn't that bad really, it just happens to be illegal in the USA. There are lots of countries that allow it, the majority really. Europeans didn't drop it until fairly recent times (about the 17th Century) despite the Catholic Church's view on the subject.

Racism though, I can't stand racists, but as I said, Mormons weren't the only ones. It seems to be a common problem of the USA right up to the 1970s that racism was common in most of the white-dominated Christian church organisations. There are still plenty of churches like that now.

Maybe, maybe not. To an outsider like me who isn't Christian, considering that the Mormons do consider Jesus Christ to be their messiah and they still use the "Bible" as well as their "Book of Mormon", as far as I'm concerned they are as much Christian as the Coptic Christians (they don't use the whole N.T. and their book is different) of the Middle East are, or the old Arians were. To me, it's just one sect of the same religion attacking another and saying "They're bad...they're aren't like us" - which is pretty silly. I've met American priests who denounce the Roman Catholic Church as being non-Christian too.

I think she's getting off on it. Look at her face
:)

Can we keep the thread at least slightly on topic? Though the religious discussion is informative, it could take place somewhere else.

I'm just suggesting the BYU cheerleaders' lycra-esque uniforms were the sexiest in the tournament, with the UCLA cheerleaders' jerseys (juuuuust loose enough to hint at that beneath) coming in a very close second.

Look in the background of the attached byu pic in this post behind the blond...the skirt of the cheerleader in the background is just long enough that it cups and accentuates the curve of her butt.

Thats because

Yummy!

it DOES look like the girl in the first pic i posted is *ahem* enjoying the experience other than others, that is, unless it's a little colder in her section of the arena than the others on her cheerleading team. Her nipples are clearly standing at least partly at attention...none of the others' are

To me, the UCLA girls look like streetwalkers.
And I don't mean that in a good way.
