Suppose so, and what's the harm in that? Even a person with a really healthy ego can fall WAY short of being a narcissist.

And the only reason I'm offering this up is because you've insisted twice that you know what a narcissist is, when I don't think you do.

No, narcissist's DO NOT believe they are "special and superior", which is why they create a facade to get others to think that they are. They actually have a poor self-image. That is what causes them to need the constant attention and validation. Your statement is incorrect and a common misunderstanding of the mental disorder.

I'm a little confused - if you are so sensitive towards narcissists why are you perusing a thread that you define as inherently narcissistic??? There are a few hundred other threads for you to enjoy. Why poop on other people's simple pleasures with your pop psychology?

Well, I'm confused also, since I never said this was an inherently narcissistic thread. I simply made a comment in response to another posters question about why the thread had seemingly gone dead. I enjoy seeing the the posts here and always admire beautiful women. I am not 'pooping" on other's pleasure. There is more than enough available eye candy on this site for everyone. Just heaven forbid anyone who makes a less than ingratiating comment.

Pop psychology? No. A 4 year long learning curve trying to understand someone who seemed completely insane. I learned much, got my heart completely broken and am still not 100% past the whole mess.

It's not done for the thrill and arousal of revealing oneself in a public setting, where others may see you posing the possibility of some interaction or nonverbal communication between the exhibitionist and the voyeur.
