Okay so today was a busy day down here.
My wife and I were up and out of bed early and hit the road running.
First stop was a good friend of mine's house. We picked her up and ran her to the Doctors office for her Chemo. She is a 49 year old woman who doesn't smoke but has been recently diagnosed with stage 4 Lung Cancer. My wife and I are on her care team. (It doesn't look good for her.)
When we got her home the wife and I took off for Sam's Club to get a membership. We had decided to get one there rather than Costco because we like the meats better and they have a cheap gas station. We loaded up with meats and frozen veggies for the freezer and headed home.
Once home we seperated the meats and veggies into servings, vaccume packed then froze them. Out I went to the shed to see what was wrong with the dryer. It took a bit but I have found the problem. The heater coil is fried. I now have a new one on order.
A quick break for lunch then off we go again. Off to the store to get some items we need to hang more curtains then we head down to the range.
Ahhh some much needed down time. Meld with the handgun and drop more than a couple of rounds down range. I'm starting to focus again. I am allowed to try a new rifle in the bin, a Mosin Nagant 91/30. Nice, I might have to get one of these.
Leaving the range we head for the hospital to do our annual C.P.R. Class. That takes a while but is no problem.
Back to our friends house to check on her and see if she needs anything. She's reacting to her Chemo and is too weak/sick to make her own dinner so we make it for her. We hang around as she eats and then clean up. We get her settled in after walking her dog then head for home.
Ahhhh, finally time to relax. Scratch the cats and settle in with a cold one and a Cigar. Dinner is in the oven and a cat is on my lap. I read through the local news and shake my head but I'm fine. Tomorrow should be a bit easier.
So how was your day today?
