Bush's Worst Decision YET!!!

Why tap MS when you could pull people from Joe's Pawn Shop and Computer Repair?

Can't you find something more interesting to bitch about?

I swear he's trying to educate us

But he's so busy seeing conspiracies that the presentation is overwhelming the message.

sd, consider that perhaps the Security dude from MS is aware of the holes in MS products, and that if the White House uses some of them (oh, say, maybe the operating system?) that somebody with a serious familiarity with these products might be capable of helping? Did he code the holes into IE personally?

Do you want somebody from Apple, or a Gateway reject, to come tell them how to configure their systems?

Truthfully I am. I also titled this thread to bait p p_man.

I'd want somebody from Norton, Symantic, etc., Various firewall companies, etc.

Oh, and I feel they'd also have been better suited to promote from within. There are COUNTLESS DoJ, DoD, Fbi, Cia, etc. people who are more than overqualified for the job. Yes, the DoJ and Dod are probing cable modems and monitoring what we do, but they know computer security and how to get around it.

Why?

Cos the hackers piss their pants anytime DoD is mentioned.

I am a bit surprised.

After all the bugs in MS products I would have thought MS had a bad reputation for keeping computer products secure.
