My fellow citizens, events in Iraq have now reached the final days of decision.

Events in Iraq? He meant to say the UN

For more than a decade, the United States and other nations have pursued patient and honorable efforts to disarm the Iraqi regime without war. That regime pledged to reveal and destroy all of its weapons of mass destruction as a condition for ending the Persian Gulf War in 1991.

Prior to 1991, the United States and other nations dealt directly with Iraq in gaining revenue to bolster their economies through receiving oil supplies by way of selling off weapons of mass destruction and helped train and support Iraq's efforts towards fighting Iran. We were responsible for creating this situation, yet we will never take full responsibility for our actions, we would rather stand before you and blame it all on them.

Since then, the world has engaged in 12 years of diplomacy. We have passed more than a dozen resolutions in the United Nations Security Council. We have sent hundreds of weapons inspectors to oversee the disarmament of Iraq.

We have also consistently bombed that country and used the no fly zones as an excuse to test out the weapons of mass destruction we possess ourselves. We have been accused of spying on many occasions, and have even been accused of that within the same place we have tabled the resolutions that don't really give Iraq much room to manouevre, just antagonise the country and make them more prone to not being diplomatic and co-operating

Our good faith has not been returned. The Iraqi regime has used diplomacy as a ploy to gain time and advantage. It has uniformly defied Security Council resolutions demanding full disarmament.

Our good faith has been laughed at based on my administration and previous administrations names being on a list directly involved in the weapons of mass destruction sales to Iraq prior to 1991. That list of course was removed from a dossier provided by Iraq in good faith to the UN Security Council. 2,000 pages to be precise. But it was done in good faith

Over the years, U.N. weapons inspectors have been threatened by Iraqi officials, electronically bugged and systematically deceived. Peaceful efforts to disarm the Iraq regime have failed again and again because we are not dealing with peaceful men.

Over the years, UN inspectors were caught out rehanded when Iraqi intelligence became aware of information relating to various UN weapons inspectors that placed them on the CIA payroll. Iraq was happy to have UN inspectors return, as long as they were from neutral countries and not approved by those involved with the Coaliton forces that attacked them in 1991. We are not dealing with peaceful men, yet were are now going to invade a country that has been at peace for 12 years and not threatened or attacked anyone. We also have been found out for electronically bugging and systematically deceiving other members of the UN who were overseeing the disarmament process in Iraq, but also were to vote on a new resolution we proposed that would give us the go ahead to use force against Iraq.

Intelligence gathered by this and other governments leaves no doubt that the Iraq regime continues to possess and conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised. This regime has already used weapons of mass destruction against Iraq's neighbors and against Iraq's people.

The intelligence we gathered turned out to be fraudalent documentation written up by unversity students, and also a dossier provided was indeed a fabrication and plagiarism. These people dio not work for our respective governments or intelligence services. However, we are sure they possess and conceal these weapons of mass destruction. Afterall, we sold them too them and made them ourselves. Just remember those words. Some of the most lethal weapons ever devised. We are peaceful men remember?

The regime has a history of reckless aggression in the Middle East. It has a deep hatred of America and our friends and it has aided, trained and harbored terrorists, including operatives of Al Qaeda. The danger is clear: Using chemical, biological or, one day, nuclear weapons obtained with the help of Iraq, the terrorists could fulfill their stated ambitions and kill thousands or hundreds of thousands of innocent people in our country or any other.

Our regime has a history of reckless aggression all over the world. We have a deep hatred for anyone that doesn't abide by our standards and interests. Our foreign policy shows that we will install puppet regime's for US interests and also train, aid and harbour terrorists, including operatives of Al Qaeda to benefit our interests. However, 9/11 was actually a disaster we created even though we went half round the world, invaded another country and tried to somehow turn the other cheek so to speak. We trained the men who attacked us within our own country. We harboured these terrorists.

The United States and other nations did nothing to deserve or invite this threat, but we will do everything to defeat it. Instead of drifting along toward tragedy, we will set a course toward safety.

We did deserve this threat and did invite it. We created it and have created other threats. We need to defeat it to cover up the evidence and real intentions we have in mind. We are protecting our national interests by raping another country of it's sovereignty and wealth to boost our failing economy, and make us seen as the good guys once more. The tradegy is we will never stand proud in the eyes of the world knowing full well we are responsible for what it is that we have created. Everything we touch turns to shit. Especiially where my family is concerned.

Before the day of horror can come, before it is too late to act, this danger will be removed.

I have been informed that I am the subject of an assassination plot. I am sure American's won't cry for me.

The United States of America has the sovereign authority to use force in assuring its own national security. That duty falls to me as commander of chief by the oath I have sworn, by the oath I will keep. Recognizing the threat to our country, the United States Congress voted overwhelmingly last year to support the use of force against Iraq.

Iraq has the same rights and authority to protect its own national security and sovereignty. That duty falls to Saddam. An evil dictator that has remained in power for decades. However, he was indeed elected to begin with. Something I kind of wasn't but don't go calling me a dictator. Telling him to get out of his country and take his sons is not dictating to someone. Even though I do not have the proper authorisation via the UN to invade this country.

America tried to work with the United Nations to address this threat because we wanted to resolve the issue peacefully. We believe in the mission of the United Nations.

America blatantly tried to buy off nations for support. It also used spying techniques to gain valuable insight to influence nations into voting for the use of force against Iraq in a proposed resolution. We don't believe in the mission of the United Nations as we now are prepared to go to war without the backing off it, and support of three of it's permanent members. In fact, only a small number of countries support us. Yet many said they would under the authorisation of the UN

One reason the U.N. was founded after the Second World War was to confront aggressive dictators actively and early, before they can attack the innocent and destroy the peace.

Maybe the UN will confront aggressive dictators like myself before I can attack the innocent and destroy peace within that region

In the case of Iraq, the Security Council did act in the early 1990s. Under Resolutions 678 and 687, both still in effect, the United States and our allies are authorized to use force in ridding Iraq of weapons of mass destruction. This is not a question of authority, it is a question of will.

The rhetoric contained in resolutions 678 and 687 was based on the time they were drawn up. Change has occurred throughout the world, and both the US and Britian new there was not enough within those resolutions to substantiate the use of force against and gain support. They drafted a new resolution 1441, and stated that if indeed Iraq did not comply with it, they would again draft another resolution that would give them the authority to use force against Iraq. Knowing they would not get the support, they are now manipulating other resolutions to justify their planned war.

Last September, I went to the U.N. General Assembly and urged the nations of the world to unite and bring an end to this danger. On November 8th, the Security Council unanimously passed Resolution 1441, finding Iraq in material breach of its obligations and vowing serious consequences if Iraq did not fully and immediately disarm.

The resolution was passed based on the knowledge that the use of force would be a last remaining option. At no time did that resolution make clear to other members that by passing it, it would give the use of force the green light. Based on that resolution, the wording 'serious consequences' does not give a mandate for war. It suggests that they may face some sort of military attack, but that would be more along the lines of cruise missle strikes which former president Clinton did back in the late 90's during his reign. The US decided Iraq was in breach, and that is why they took it upon themselves to draft a new resolution to gain support and authorisation for the use of force. Whenever the UN has voted for the use of force, a resolution has contained language along those lines. Serious consequences usually entailed an embargo and sanctions, something which is already in place. The US has changed the rules to suit themselves as usual

Today, no nation can possibly claim that Iraq has disarmed. And it will not disarm so long as Saddam Hussein holds power.

No nation could possibly disarm in 4 months, based on Hans Blix report and what his UN team wanted disarmed. Iraq is a vast country, and UN inspectors along with other nations all stated more time was needed. It was not time to give Saddam leeway, it was time to do their job they were given when nations passed the resolution to disarm Iraq immeidiately. Iraq had complied with many of those guidelines, it was just US ignorance and pressure upon UN council members made diplomacy difficult and once again the mobility of troops and spying of Iraq made them unwilling to co-operate fully

For the last four and a half months, the United States and our allies have worked within the Security Council to enforce that council's longstanding demands. Yet some permanent members of the Security Council have publicly announced that they will veto any resolution that compels the disarmament of Iraq. These governments share our assessment of the danger, but not our resolve to meet it.

These nations were wise and realised, even if Iraq disarmed, 250,000 troops on the border were not going to pack up and go home. The world could clearly see the real picture and new full well the outcome of war was inevitable. Every nation around the world went out in protest against this invasion. Those who pushed for it were in a minority.

Many nations, however, do have the resolve and fortitude to act against this threat to peace, and a broad coalition is now gathering to enforce the just demands of the world.

A broad coalition consists of a handful of countries. Those who are apart of that coalition have been promised rewards and also many have had existing loans with the US wiped out among many other carrots that were dangled in front of them.

The United Nations Security Council has not lived up to its responsibilities, so we will rise to ours. In recent days, some governments in the Middle East have been doing their part. They have delivered public and private messages urging the dictator to leave Iraq so that disarmament can proceed peacefully.

The UN has lived up to it's responsiblities, it is just the US has not lived up their own, and violated many of the rules set down by the council. They have played dirty tricks, been corrupt, provided false and misleading information, and lost the respect of other nations in the UN which has led to the situation the world is now faced with. An illegal war led by the US.

He has thus far refused.

Where does he go? And how long before the US invades another country to assassinate or capture him?

All the decades of deceit and cruelty have now reached an end. Saddam Hussein and his sons must leave Iraq within 48 hours. Their refusal to do so will result in military conflict commenced at a time of our choosing.

All the decades of deceit and cruelty have reached and end. The world can clearly see how my family has wage war against a man we created. We dealt with financially. We supported and we supplied him with what it is we deem so morally wrong, yet we are now prepared to violate international law and go into his country and use weapons of mass destruction that make his look like mini weapons, all to appease our conscience and make us feel better for allowing all those people to suffer and die when we asked them to uprise against Saddam, then walked out and left them to rot.

For their own safety, all foreign nationals, including journalists and inspectors, should leave Iraq immediately.

We have a habit of firing missles at wrong targets. We kill innocent civilians, especially women and children, and we also hit buildings that house food and medicine, then try to convince the world they housed chemical weapons stocks.

Many Iraqis can hear me tonight in a translated radio broadcast, and I have a message for them: If we must begin a military campaign, it will be directed against the lawless men who rule your country and not against you.

Even though we are breaking the law, we are trying to make you believe we aren't going to cripple your country through mass bombings, and we will try not to bomb cities even though we know we are going to have to do so to take your country.

As our coalition takes away their power, we will deliver the food and medicine you need. We will tear down the apparatus of terror and we will help you to build a new Iraq that is prosperous and free.

As we take away your oil fields and show the world the evidence of weapons we are going to bring with us, but claim are what Saddam was hiding, we will bring food and aid and walk through your cities with our guns, and pose in front of the camera's as peace loving people. We won't film in areas where 5 year old children lie dead in the arms of their dead mothers who tried to flee from a building hit with a 80 tonne bomb from 10,000 feet in the air. We are about to embark on a campaign of terror 1,000 times the magnitude of anything Saddam could ever muster against you people, and if he uses chemical weapons against our troops, so you will find out first hand what happened to those in Japan back in the 2nd World War. Even though we gave him those weapons years ago.

In free Iraq there will be no more wars of aggression against your neighbors, no more poison factories, no more executions of dissidents, no more torture chambers and rape rooms.

In free Iraq there will be McDonalds, MTV, children with Nike sneakers and baseball caps, women hanging on street corners selling their pussy for a McDonalds food voucher, Christian churches appearing and raping the people of their money, other leaders driving by in limosines and living in newly built palaces entertaining American diplomats, businessman and politicians, there will be drugs and crime, murder, child sex offenders, overcrowded jails, disease, a gap between rich and poor, more pollution, US air bases and drunken men appearing in the city clubs owned by American entrepaneurs, casino's housing rich Arab men from other middle eastern countries brokering deals with Texan oil tycoons, the list will be endless but assure you, it will be a fantastic time had by all.

The tyrant will soon be gone. The day of your liberation is near.

The day when you lose your culture and history will be near

It is too late for Saddam Hussein to remain in power. It is not too late for the Iraq military to act with honor and protect your country, by permitting the peaceful entry of coalition forces to eliminate weapons of mass destruction. Our forces will give Iraqi military units clear instructions on actions they can take to avoid being attack and destroyed.

We are cowards and hope that we don't have to confront an aggressive force. We want to waltz in and get the oil without having embarassing fall out that could hamper my future aspirations and political life. We don't want casualties, even though we will murder thousands of you lot

I urge every member of the Iraqi military and intelligence services: If war comes, do not fight for a dying regime that is not worth your own life.

Just stand still, close your eyes and hope one of the 100,000 bombs we are sending your way misses you

And all Iraqi military and civilian personnel should listen carefully to this warning: In any conflict, your fate will depend on your actions. Do not destroy oil wells, a source of wealth that belongs to the Iraqi people. Do not obey any command to use weapons of mass destruction against anyone, including the Iraqi people. War crimes will be prosecuted, war criminals will be punished and it will be no defense to say, "I was just following orders." Should Saddam Hussein choose confrontation, the American people can know that every measure has been taken to avoid war and every measure will be taken to win it.

Every measure will be taken to win it. The war? I did meantion liberating the Iraqi people didn't I? Disarming Iraq didn't I? I guess it slipped out about going into a country to fight a war against those who live in it. Do not destroy oil wells, a source of wealth that belongs to the American people. Do not obey any commands. Just stand back and allow other loyal Iraqi soldiers to shoot you on the spot for treason.

Americans understand the costs of conflict because we have paid them in the past. War has no certainty except the certainty of sacrifice.

The world understands this too, and that is why they are prepared to pay the cost of something that with more time, could have been avoided. War does have certainty when the US is involved. It is when their economy is down, they are paying more for oil, they need to test out new weapons, and they are mopping up a monster they created long ago. The only people that war has to sacrifice are the children who grow up and are brainwashed by the American ideal, then go off to fight a war based on the lunacy, corruption and greed of men like George W Bush.

Yet the only way to reduce the harm and duration of war is to apply the full force and might of our military, and we are prepared to do so.

By using the full force and might of our military, we will increase the harm and duration of war, by destroying a country, and creating more terrorists and hatred around the world

If Saddam Hussein attempts to cling to power, he will remain a deadly foe until the end.

Saddam became a foe when he was backstabbed and made promises by US officials that they went back on years later

In desperation, he and terrorist groups might try to conduct terrorist operations against the American people and our friends. These attacks are not inevitable. They are, however, possible.

If this does happen, blame me, as I have done all I can to find a way to get this war

And this very fact underscores the reason we cannot live under the threat of blackmail. The terrorist threat to America and the world will be diminished the moment that Saddam Hussein is disarmed. Our government is on heightened watch against these dangers. Just as we are preparing to ensure victory in Iraq, we are taking further actions to protect our homeland.

Like we did on 9/11? We are making promises to the Iraqi people, like we did in Afghanistan, yet once all is over, you shall see what blackmail and truth is all about

In recent days, American authorities have expelled from the country certain individuals with ties to Iraqi intelligence services.

In recent days, people would wonder why Iraqi intelligence services were even in the country in the first place if Saddam was such a threat to the national security of America.

Among other measures, I have directed additional security at our airports and increased Coast Guard patrols of major seaports. The Department of Homeland Security is working closely with the nation's governors to increase armed security at critical facilities across America.

This would never have happened had we not armed, trained and created people like Saddam and Osama bin Laden

Should enemies strike our country, they would be attempting to shift our attention with panic and weaken our morale with fear. In this, they would fail.

Like they failed on 9/11. Turned America into a paranoid bunch of people based on my efforts to go to war with a country that hasn't fired a shot in anger in 12 years, and hasnt the capability of attacking the US from where they are situated in this world.

No act of theirs can alter the course or shake the resolve of this country. We are a peaceful people, yet we are not a fragile people. And we will not be intimidated by thugs and killers.

Then why are we going to war? We feel intimated by someone miles away that has weapons we sold him. We are a peaceful people, but we aren't a peaceful government. We are thugs and soon to be killers.

If our enemies dare to strike us, they and all who have aided them will face fearful consequences.

Yet we are prepared to strike them first. We are the aggressors, yet we expect them to lie down and say sorry.

We are now acting because the risks of inaction would be far greater. In one year, or five years, the power of Iraq to inflict harm on all free nations would be multiplied many times over. With these capabilities, Saddam Hussein and his terrorist allies could choose the moment of deadly conflict when they are strongest. We choose to meet that threat now where it arises, before it can appear suddenly in our skies and cities.

Yes it is a bit far fetched based on the clear evidence Hans Blix provided to the UN, whereby Iraq's capabilities were diminished, and agreed by Britian and other natons that is would take him about 10 years to build to the capacity he once had. The UN could monitor the country, and Iraq proposed that a UN peacekeeping force could remain in the country if sanctions were lifted, and they could oversee the rebuilding of a peaceful nation. Something the US dismissed as stalling for time again.

The cause of peace requires all free nations to recognize new and undeniable realities. In the 20th century, some chose to appease murderous dictators whose threats were allowed to grow into genocide and global war.

We were at the forefront of doing this, as we armed so many of them, supported them, and sat back and allowed them to do as they pleased. We appeased Saddam, like we appeased Pinotchet and like we appeased others.

In this century, when evil men plot chemical, biological and nuclear terror, a policy of appeasement could bring destruction of a kind never before seen on this earth. Terrorists and terrorist states do not reveal these threats with fair notice in formal declarations.

We at least drop leaflets with propaganda to appease our interests, and hope these people are stupid enough to believe us. At present, the rest of the world doesn't

And responding to such enemies only after they have struck first is not self defense. It is suicide. The security of the world requires disarming Saddam Hussein now.

Along with ourselves. We are a threat to everyone elses national security now as we about to embark on an invasion that is not within the boundaries of what peaceful countries standards are. LAW!

As we enforce the just demands of the world, we will also honor the deepest commitments of our country. Unlike Saddam Hussein, we believe the Iraqi people are deserving and capable of human liberty, and when the dictator has departed, they can set an example to all the Middle East of a vital and peaceful and self-governing nation.

A nation that when we say jump, they will say how high and how many times do you want us to jump before we do get the freedom. We will of course leave the country when we can no longer deal with the chaos we will have created, the snipers that shoot at us daily, the political mess we will create and the economic disaster and famine we are about to install by totally destroying a country and creating more opposition within the region.

The United States with other countries will work to advance liberty and peace in that region. Our goal will not be achieved overnight, but it can come over time. The power and appeal of human liberty is felt in every life and every land, and the greatest power of freedom is to overcome hatred and violence, and turn the creative gifts of men and women to the pursuits of peace. That is the future we choose.

What we are really saying, is we will turn to Syria and Iran next and do the same to them. Disarm your weapons of mass destruction or face serious consequences. Soon we will have all the oil and be happy as pigs in shit.

Free nations have a duty to defend our people by uniting against the violent, and tonight, as we have done before, America and our allies accept that responsibility.

We don't accept it, we have taken it upon ourselves to want it to appease our own interests and basically go fuck over some people because their leader made my papa look like a fucking embarassing git.

Good night, and may God continue to bless America.

Good night, and may God continue to piss on America by way of lighting bolts, tornado's, bushfires and any other fucking thing that will get them to wake up and smell the coffee

AMEN!.....god save us all from that pack of arrogant fools.

n/a

I wrote this thread the day after Bush made that speech.

Would all those that applauded Bush done the same had they read the Uncensored Version?

I am sure those of you that have zoomed in and watched what is going on over there, would at least come to the realisation that an outsider like me knew well in advance of what would happen over in Iraq, and clearly stated that before a shot was fired.

Guess some just have to see it as a reality before it sinks.

But at what cost? and who's?

Those lying on concrete floors with a bullet wound to the head, or those who are being liberated and fleeing the constant bombardment of their homes in the own country, only to drive into a line of fire by their liberators.

Who the fuck would want to be an Iraqi civilian? You haven't got a hope either way.
