I don't get it but it is popular in some places. If you like it please explain to me what I'm missing.

The bulls don't like it, but every once in a while the bull wins.
I've never seen them cut off the matador's ear and give it to the bull, so I'm not sure what a winning bull gets out of the deal.
Bull fighting is an animal sacrifice ritual, not a sport. The bull doesn't really have a chance. The only reason he is there is to die.

Its a cruel and uncivilized. A blood sport of baiting and harassing the bull until some git in fancy pajamas kills it.
