With a few small exceptions that movie was NOTHING like the book. I get that it's a hard book to film and they did what they had to do but come on. And that third act. Whatever they had filmed before had to be better. It at least would have had the same tone.
Odd enough they kept one thing from the book that I really liked. When the Israeli was telling Pitt about why they built the wall and took the zombie thing seriously when nobody else did. Made sense in a real world kind of way.

There are better ways than shutting ourselves off from people.
