Budweiser, the Great Amer....er ... Belgian Beer?

Ok, so I really don't even like Budweiser, but somehow this just seems wrong to me. I know it's been brewing (sorry, couldn't resist. :D ) for weeks now, but somehow I never thought it would really happen.

PHILADELPHIA - U.S. brewer Anheuser-Busch Cos Inc agreed to a $50 billion takeover by Belgium-based InBev NV, a source familiar with the situation said Sunday, creating the world's largest beer maker.

InBev, the maker of Stella Artois, and Budweiser-brewer Anheuser were not immediately available to comment.

Yea I had kinda hoped it would never happen. Busch was one of the better stocks to invest in. Haven't heard much on InBev though
 
We're planning to take the granddaughters to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg next month. Think we'll need to get passports?
 
The iconic Chrysler Building has been sold to the government of Abu-Dhabi. I hope they don't plan to move it.

Don't worry.

The Belgians won't change Budweiser. They'll market it more extensively in Europe although it is already available almost everywhere.

They'll also market Stella Artois more effectively in the US.

It should be a win:win scenario for Budweiser and Stella Artois.
