Hi darlin'! I missed you too and the others of course :)

Only could log on here and there so hopefully things will be back to normal now!

Netscape released their code in an attempt to weaken Microsoft.... From that sproated Mozilla, and Opera. Both are stand alone. Opera is supposed to be the fastest most compatable browser on the market. 90% of people still use IE though....

The problem with Opera is that it doesn't support DHTML (Dynamic HTML [with scripts]) - yet. The next version (which I last heard was in Beta) is supposed to support DHTML. Many website need or require DHTML support, although the better ones work around it if it is disabled or missing.

I have also found that Opera, while fast, is also fairly buggy (almost as buggy as Mozilla/NS). I test my webpages with IE, NS/Mozilla, Opera, and older versions of IE and Netscape. I was using Mozilla as my main browser for a while because it has tabbed windows and a builtin popup filter. The problem was that I got tired of the bugs (mostly visual artifacts) and that it was slower than IE.

I then found Crazy Browser. This is more or less a shell around IE (it uses the IE rendering engine and therefore is as fast as IE at rendering), and it provides tabbed windows and a builtin popup filter. So now I use that most of the time.

LadyGuinivere, there are some other browsers out there, but you don't mention what your computer problems are or why you think that a browser would fix the problems. For the most part the mainstream browsers shouldn't be causing you problems.
