I don't remember if in any of those books the characters actually got pregnant by the sibling OH WAIT in flowers in the attic the mother and father had been brother and sister! we found that out in the fifth book in the series...

In the flowers in the attic series, we find out that the parents had been bro and sis but they had always thought that they were step uncle and niece (which is also taboo, but there was supposedly no shared blood). I can see where that could come into play in a story...not knowing your bro and sis.

Twisted confession...I'm the only child of my mother. However, my father has never been part of my life and I wouldn't know him if I passed him on the street. As I've come into my adulthood and have taken people home from a club or something, it has passed through my mind (not as a sexual fantasy) how odd it might be to meet a guy and get to know him etc and then to find out that he was my biological relation on my father's side (prolly not a brother since I know my father's last name...then again I am guilty of sleeping with men whose last names I didn't know at the time).

Last I knew White Shadows turned into a pay site. Around two years ago, or so, I submitted a couple of stories to them. After a long wait I received a letter back by a "random" editor who told me they were not accepting any new stories since the site's owner "had up and quit" and they didn't have anyone new to take over the responsibilities of the site.

I hadn't really given it much thought beyond having the child and living happily together. I figured that anything beyond that would be a nice surprise.

Wasn't there something in Flowers in the Attic about how the girl ended up having a miscarriage-type bleedout on the ballet stage and then a D&C after missing several periods? And they gave her some dumb story about "blocked" periods that "broke free" or something ... sounded fishy to me even when I was fourteen.

But then, when the sister was about 50, they both decided that the brother should make his sister pregnant - so they had sex. But I can't remember if she really got pregnant.
