As a voter in Santa Clara County, I am one of tens of thousands who want to boot asshole Aaron from the bench. This is the most recent email I received on the legal effort:

George --

Brock Turner, the Stanford swimmer who was convicted of three felony counts of sexual assault, has filed an appeal to overturn his convictions saying that the initial trial was “a detailed and lengthy set of lies.”

Turner’s legal advisor, John Tompkins, stated that the facts of the case do not reflect the verdict. He was quoted saying:

"What we are saying that what happened is not a crime. It happened, but it was not anywhere close to a crime."

Brock Turner sexually assaulted an unconscious woman behind a dumpster -- but he doesn’t think that’s a crime. I'm disgusted and outraged. If you are too, stand with Emily today.

Brock Turner had a fair trial. The jury heard the evidence and decisively rejected his efforts to blame the victim. When Judge Persky sentenced Brock Turner to six months in county jail, he claimed Turner had shown a “genuine feeling of remorse.”

Where is Turner’s remorse now? The problem with this case wasn’t that Judge Persky was unfair to Brock Turner -- it was that Judge Persky was unfair to the victim when he sentenced Turner to only a few months in county jail.

This is rape culture in action and it's why we're working to recall Judge Persky. Let's join together to say enough is enough. Make your voice heard today with a contribution of $1, $5, $25, or whatever you can afford.

Together in this fight,
Michele Dauber
Chairperson, Committee to Recall Judge Persky
