Sadly there are many such stories where men (there are some women that do it too - but its mostly men by a large margin) try and hide their own behaviour behind a facade of over the top bias, discrimination and hatred. Hypocrisy at its worst, and the sad thing is that most of the hatred and bile that they spew towards those they pretend to revile - is actually directed at themselves.

You could point to their upbriniging or religious beliefs or conditioning to 'excuse' their behaviour, but the truth is that they are just evil men with flaws that they are desperate to hide by any means possible.

I could be wrong but the issue is why do little kids have to see these shows and sexual portrayals for lack of a better word. It is a free country for adults. As adults we can do what we want. Why is this ok for K-5. Heck, just take the little ones to a st--p cl-b. You must forgive me, but what is K-5? Is it an age group?

Many many many drag shows are 100% family friendly.
Just like any other genre of entertainment.
People just hate anything that steps outside of the cis-heteronormative box.
They also assume that anything that does is about sex.
Drag shows are no more about sex than The Muppet Show

I've had a conversation with a few people in the UK about the drag queens reading to kids and tbh we're all scratching our heads and saying 'Why would you suggest a drag queen anyway?' There's no suggested of it being inappropriate, just a poor choice.

yes yes yes any parent would know that. yes Kindergarten - fifth grade. 6 - 8 is middle school and believe me those kids would eat those folks alive. High Schooler would just be on their phones the whole time. why cant the drag queens come dressed like female teachers? I think there's a huge amount of anger - and misinformation - that is being fueled by right wing media ( the Murdochs etc ) who abet certain right wing politicians, inciting fear by brandishing terms like 'woke, de-platforming, crt' along with language such as 'self-identifying trans'. I have no evidence but suspect some anarchists have taken up the transgender cause to simply disrupt and antagonise. Those extremists are every bit as bad as some notorious TERFs.

What's missing ( because when has common-sense ever sold newspapers? ) is enough space for rational discussion. What we also lack is any control over hate speech on social media, particularly Twitter.

Media thrives on focusing on exceptions and through its power, convinces its readers that a single incident is evidence of widespread practices.

However the purpose of this thread is to cast light on hypocrites: people with past actions and words they have tried to cover up. If you find some of them post them up

So according to this Missouri lawmaker, 12yo girls should be allowed to marry as long as they have parental permission...but of course no gender affirming care even with parental permission.

Edit: and now the hellstate of Missouri is outlawing even adult transition! Evidently anyone currently on hrt will be denied care in the future.

Republican politician Randy Fine, who seemingly called for the eradication of the LGBTQ+ community, has been branded a hypocrite for promoting his wife’s burlesque-style performance for charity. If his bill is passed into law, it would penalise venues for allowing children to attend performances containing sexual conduct.
Fine is being accused of hypocrisy after it was discovered that his wife, Wendy, is taking part in a “sultry” performance on Saturday (15 April) to benefit a children’s charity.

Opponents of Fine have explained that they are not criticising the performance itself, but his support of it after he condemned other events as inappropriate for children.

“I could not care less about children attending either one of these events,” a Twitter user explained, referencing Wendy Fine’s performance and Drag Queen Story Hour.

“I don’t live my life in a never-ending moral panic, but just sharing this to show that Randy Fine and other Republicans don’t actually care about children, they are just hateful bigots.”

Another Twitter user described the incident as “rules for thee, but not for me”.

Just recently noticed a new subreddit, r/NotADragQueen, it links with news of the hypocrisy and abuse from many of these politicians and others currently blaming all the worlds ills on lgbtq people.

I was aware of some pretty ugly things going down out there, but omg! even I was surprised at the almost daily reports of yet another radical republican caught in the act.
