nope, only if it's Jim Carrey in "Me, Myself & Irene" kind of breastfeeding.
There's nothing more beautiful sometimes, than a mother breastfeeding her child, mostlysecond only to a woman who is still pregnat, and carrying another life inside of her. (And no, I don't mean that in a perverted type of way!)

how long is too long..?
I knew a woman that breast~fed her kid until he was six..and did so in public.
That child in the pic looks about 3 or 4...
A baby..in a blanket at her mother's breast is one thing.
A child that is school age whom is readily consuming solid foods..just seems a tad strange to me...
The imprinting alone, can cause problems later down the road.

Seeing a mother breastfeeding a BABY in public doesn't bother me at all. Seeing a mother feeding a TODDLER, like in that picture, in public would throw me for a loop.
The only kid I know who breastfed until he was well over a year old and probably closer to two now has horrible problems with his mom leaving him at all. He would be described as a "momma's boy" and I think will have a horrible time as a teen since he is 10 already and definitely not normal. Breastfeeding as a toddler, of course, was not the cause of his problems. But I think it was one of the symptoms. The mom was greatly at fault for literally never weening him from her.

Breastfeeding BABIES is fine...breastfeeding toddlers...NOOOOOO!!!!! There's an age where it should just stop I think.

Although legally one doesn't become an adult till the age of 21 so I suppose an argument could be made that it is alright for a man to suckle a breast. (Just not mommy's!!)

Ditto here. I think 18 months is the absolute upper limit of when a kid should be breast fed. Seeing it doesn't bother me, after all, that's how mothers are supposed to feed their babies, and expressing milk for bottles is a pain in the ass. Breast feeding is a natural thing, why should it bother anyone?
You know what else pisses me? People who don't actually raise their kids. I knew a guy with a 3 year old daughter who was in diapers and not even STARTING to potty train, still on a bottle regularly, and could barely speak a word because her "teacher" was Disney videos. The guy just sat online all day and I think his daughter was just a nuisance to him.

I personally don't mind the whole breast feeding thing. I plan to as soon as I have a baby. But for me anyway, once the teething starts the time for a binky and a bottle. I once was doing this woman's makeup and she said she needed to feed her son. She got the little boy... probably around 2 years old and whipped it out and began nursing. I wouldn't have minded but I kept getting nipple shots... and her nipples were like 4 inches long.. I got kinda grossed out and had to go in the other room to let her finish.

Out in public, I prefer to be discreet about it. It's quite easy to arrange a light baby blanket over the infant/breast, so as not to expose yourself to the world. I've noticed a new kind of "militancy" about the right to breastfeed in public, with some women exposing their breasts and nipples more than is necessary to get the job done. Nursing an infant is the most natural of things to do, and so good for your baby, but using common sense and consideration for others should be worked in there as well.

It doesn't *bother* me as long as it is discretely done. I mean put a towel over the babies head and your boobie. I don't want to *watch* a little kid suckling on a boobie. I guess just as long as it is done with tact it doesn't bother me. Heck little kids hafta eat too...........I guess maybe I a little jealous.

you have to watch out doing it in public.you can get in trouble.i seen this lady in the store breast feeding the kid.the mananger told her to stop or he will call the police.that is just wrong of him to do that.
