Is it stretching it to suggest that operatives in-country would add sarin or mustard gas to missiles in an existing cache? That would be much simpler, wouldn't it?

I think it's likely Hussein's maintained some various WMD capability, but based on decades of contact with various people at assorted levels of clearance and responibility in various DC "organizations" let's say, I can't accept that planting evidence is beyond what the U.S. government would do - not by any means.

Or could do.:)

seems like a hell of risky thing to do - loads of people would be involved in an operation like that - and eventualy it would come out - you couldnt hide that sort of thing for long

But hey what do I know anyway

This was my thought...no way they would be able keep a thing like that quiet.

Of course they can. The black helicopters will take care of everything.

You can't even imagine what has been kept quiet

True, American and civilian casualties are higher than reported, just like Nam. I never heard about an American tank being destroyed until I saw it on Iraqi news. They have yelled Chem. weapons ever since they started the push. Everything turns out not to be. I wouldn't put it past Dub to plant chems. I mean he and Cheney stood in front of the American people and said there was an energy crisis in California when they knew in fact that Enron was raping the public. I don't trust those crooks as far as I can throw them.

Ok would you care to produce some evidence in this? We have been hearing this for tha past two years and frankly I getting tired of it so unless someone can provide the evidence I think it is time to drop the subject.

It must make you feel great to live in a country that affords you so much, yet despise it so much. I wish someone would tell me when the USA became the "bad guys??"

Clearly LK, you have far more issues than I might even have guessed.

Now I ask this: Given what you suggest is possible, but is it probable?

In a letter dated 3 March 1999, President Clinton wrote the following: "Iraq's actions are in material breach of the Gulf War cease-fire resolution (UNSC Resolution 687), the February 23 1998 Annan-Aziz Memorandum of Understanding, and Iraq's November 14 commitment to the Security Council."

Further along, in the same letter, President Clinton wrote:"As long as Saddam Hussein remains in power, he represents a threat to his own people, the peace of the region, and the security of the world."

In that vein, President Clinton signed The Iraq Liberation Act which, effectively, authorized the President to use any means to effect a change in regime in Baghdad.

That is the first use of the word "regime change" in official USA parlance.

President Bush has carried out the terms, not only of 18 UNSC Resolutions, but USA law as passed by Congress and signed by the last President (The Iraq Liberation Act aka Public Law 105-338).

I would remind you that PL 105-338 remained the law of the USA when Clinton left office and is still the law of the land today.

WMDs were known to exist (see Clinton letter) and in PL 105-338 it is expressly said that they do.

General Freakly of the 101st Division explained the recent find near Karbala. He also made it clear that there was something very sinister about these canisters being located at a para-military training camp.

LK....why do you hate AMERICA??

Curiously I heard about the M1 Tank being destroyed on FOX News...even saw it smoldering.

They energy crisis in California was caused by state policy, not federal policy (nor corporate rape). Governor Davis, not Kenneth Lay, is behind that....

I would love to know exactly how you know about the casualty total...what are your sources?? Iraq War Office?? I know they are quite reliable.

This barely merits any response at all, since it bears so little relation to anything I posted, but I will offer you a suggestion since you've missed the reality by such a huge margin:

Work to improve your reading comprehension. Currently you've only shown talent for obfuscation, misinterpretation, and ill-executed innuendo. Your debate points lack credibility when they are constructed out of your own imagination.

To be a bit more accurate, the energy crisis in California was a direct result of the policy of deregulating energy that was passed into law under the former Republican Governor, Pete Wilson. Govenor Gray Davis. Democrat was in office when the shit hit the fan, and his handling of the crisis was inept. Both of them deserve to share a large portion of the blame on this fiasco. The State Legislature is currently taking up proposals to again regulate energy in California.

Governor WIlson actually came out (not that way but he should) on CNBC and blamed it all on Gray Davis. His reason: that Governor Gray Davis had the power to neutralize the deregulation policy that Pete Wilson put into effect. I love the logic - it's your fault for letting me do what I did. Got to love that Asshole Pete Wilson.

I thought all politicians of the male variety were assholes?

I hate to say it but politics is an equal opportunity employer - think Kay Bailey Hutchison (Senator TX - R) and Mary Bono (Representative CA - R) - wonderful performances at the Clinton Impeachment; Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) - for sheer self service and hipocrisy; and Senator Carol Moseley-Braun (D-Ill.) - a woman who doesn't mind reverse racism and being the guest of African murderous dictators.
My jury is still out on Hillary but my expectations aren't high.
