Breaking News, Heath Ledger found dead.

Poor man. I've felt a lasting fondness for him ever since he convinced me, quite against my expectations, that I rather loved "A Knight's Tale." It's a shame to see anyone's life cut so short.

oh my god... it was like a physical shock when I read that...

what a horrible loss... :(

such a waste...

His role in "The Dark Knight" as the Joker looks to be outright genius. It always sucks to see such a promising life and career cut short.

Very clever. But I thought the writer's guild was on strike?

Hey, if we can't laugh, we'd have to cry. I liked the dude, but I try to find the silver lining in life. And death. But thanks for playing!

I heard about this while at work. Heath Ledger was one of my favorite actors, after seeing A Knight's Tale and Brokeback Mountain. I was positively ecstatic about his role as the Joker in the next Batman movie, but from the way it's been talked about, that may have to be scrapped.

FWIW, it may not have been suicide. He had pneumonia, and the police are going to do an autopsy tomorrow (Wed.). He was known, according to reports, to have a 'substance abuse problem'.

I hope you're rigth, Hick. Makes it a lot easier to think well of him.
But then I have a major problem with people with young children who kill themselves. I don't give a damn what their reasoning - it's a piss poor excuse for a human being that does that to their kids.

According to IMDb, "The Dark Knight" is in post-production, so one might assume that filming is finished. It could be his swan song......Carney

Anyone who enjoyed "A Knight's Tale" might also like "The Order," which starred Heath and two other lead actors from AKT. Darker, but still a well-done historical epic....Carney
