Breakfast ~ Here, there and everywhere

Food is more than just about eating. Sunday and Wednesday is special when you grow up Italian.
 
For some reason, Lit stopped letting me post images. Trust me, my mac and meatballs are to die for! ;) Oh, have had it for breakfast too, more times than I can remember. Ad if you never had leftover unsauced pasta quick heated in a bit of butter with scrambled eggs, you have my sympathy.

Food is absolutely more than just about eating. It is about love. And gathering. And flavor and texture and memory. The care and love imbued in the plate of food presented to you. It is part of my aesthetic in this thread... I am striving for images that make my mouth water and remind of people and place. Silly moments. Moments that make my heart ache. Moments that remind me of people no longer with me. Places I used to live. Travel and cold mornings. Sleeping in and getting up brutally early. Eating alone and eating with more people than I could count.

I hope and pray that whatever problem you are having with Lit not letting you post images gets fixed shortly (wtf????) IMO - food is food and you can pretty much eat anything at any time. Eat dessert first. Breakfast for dinner. Cold pizza or meatballs for breakfast. unsauced pasta with just butter is divine - I shall absolutely have to have it with scrambled eggs... sounds excellent. :heart:

Note - I love life too much. But if I have to go, breakfast me to death!
