I know, other teams have suffered longer (Cubs). We put up with 25 years of incredibly bad management and even worse teams. Even when they sucked, I would still go to the games. Want to know how bad they sucked? The only autograph I ever got from all those years was from my all-time favorite umpire: Dutch Rennert. I never saw anyone so surprised when I asked him to sign my program. He was famous for the volume and enthusiasm when he called a strike. I had someone's season tickets for that game above the dugout, and when the first pitch was thrown he called it extra loud....striiiiiiiiiikee ONNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNE! and looked at us and smiled.
