Alewyn by James Cody is what I classify as pure erotica. It's a story of a man in the midst of war, perhaps at Culloden, where the sexual part underlies the full range of emotion the man must be going through prior to the battle. He wants to do nothing more than think about his love and their night and instead he lifts his sword... It makes you think about the range of emotion people have and the power of it.
