I have requested that time off and have found someone to cover work, but I still don't have the guarantee I will have it off. :/ I hope so!! Unfortunately a lot of turnover has happened, the group I went with last year just doesn't exist anymore. :/

You would love an weekend afternoon at our house. Son only buys whole beans and grinds them himself to size depending on what he’s making and what he’s using. I can’t even count how many different coffee making things we have now and he wants more.

We have a coffee roasting house just down the road. It supplies to high class cafes and restaurants around the North East of England. And they sell retail too, and have their own little cafe with a 'coffee of the month' on offer as you wish it. And a little shop with every which contraption to express or filter or caftiere or whatever! Such a treat. As with coacheric's son, we buy whole beans and grind them just before making. They stock just two or three Fair Trade varieties, as they say most of the others don't meet their standard of taste. But two or three is good.

Downside: so much coffee I have elsewhere seems disappointing!
 
Yep, I know the feeling. Most stores are a let down for their coffee now. Son prefers a single source coffee when he can get it. There is a local store that roasts their own beans and he likes to buy them from them. A few coffee shops downtown also close to the college he likes to go to when he’s got time between classes
 
Unfortunately I'm across the pond from you. I'd recommend simon as a great person to have a coffee with if it were my choice 😃

I completely agree! I get strange looks when I tell people I don't care for convenience store coffee. To me that's a cup you settle for... When I "relax" with a cup of coffee it has to be fresh ground.

I don't know what the deal is but this week I have drempt every night. Last night we were swingers. But all the sexy stuff was removed. My ex and my boss starred as supporting actors. The dream started as though all the good stuff happened a half hour ago. I was pretty much sore but talking and hanging out with everyone as the Hubby finished up wherever he was.
I feel ripped off and betrayed by my own dreams!
 
I can sympathize. The last several nights dreams have been left unfulfilled and I wake up "ready" but no finish.

An espresso shot in your cup, right? So many different names for them. I order mine in a dark roast so call it a shot in the dark. I really like "bulletproof" coffee. A light roast with coconut oil, butter, cinnamon and honey.
