Your welcome, and thank you for stopping by. We are dealing with inclimate weather here as well. Very cold, but not brutal yet.. and crossing my fingers that it doesn't get so. I have a love/hate relationship with winter. I love the beauty of it, hate the coldness of it. Ah.. to live in a warmer climate.

I hope everyone is safe and warm. It is gettting colder by the second here. Although not extremely cold, they say all this rain will turn to ice shortly. I don't mind it except my daughter is home for a visit and I'm concerned about her driving conditions going back this afternoon. Ah the joys of parenthood. Eight or eighty they are still your baby !

Running my errands this morning, and picking up my babies proved to be quite an adventure. I got stuck in the snow! Fortunately, there were these two strapping men who were more than willing to help me out. lol, otherwise I would still be spinning my wheels.

I've been all over today trying to get a feel for the place. So far, I like what I see. Every board seems to have it's little differences. Not sure if I'll have a home thread, either.

Home threads are great places to be ... but you can get so wrapped up in them that you forget to visite other threads. Just an FYI.

Hi Everybody! It is back to work for me today. The only thing that truly sucks about working in the medical field is that regardless of how bad the weather is.. they still expect you to come in! Although, weighed out with the good side.. always knowing you will have a job.. I guess I can't really complain.


James, Lit can be a great place to explore many different things. Just remember not to take things too seriously, and that there will always be people that you wont get along with. There are some really great people here.. and some not so great. It is interesting that even on a "porn" site, you will still encounter people who are closed-minded and unable to articulate and express things well.

Pagan, I agree to some extent.. having a "home" thread is nice. Getting to know a group of people rather intimately and having a place where people know you intimately as well. I tend to be somewhat reserved on a personal level, so it has been difficult for me to really find a place to mesh well. I tend to be that way irl as well. I fit in a bit everywhere.. but no one place in particular.

SS, no worries. I haven't been able to be around much lately either. Real life tends to have a way of intervening and keeping one much too busy. I was lucky(or unlucky.. as I didn't get lucky damn it) this past weekend, to be snowed in. Lots of free time to myself.. but couldn't go anywhere. It is great to have a place like this to come and interact with others. OH... I have been playing chess occasionally with GG2, man.. he is really good. I forget who suggested it.. him or you. It is rather bruising to my ego.. good thing it is so big to begin with! lol

On the getting to know you thing..

Since I started this thread, I have gotten some inquirys about me.
I thought it might be appropriate to post some "getting to know you" kind of stuff.

I am female (I know.. big shocker eh.) 31, but I don't feel a day over 20. How does that work? I am a single parent with two wonderfully wild boys... and I would love to expand on that. Single, obviously from the last statement. Never married (too damned picky is what everyone says). I work in the medical field. I live in IN, where presently it is really frickin cold. I am involved in a LTR, which is probably why it has lasted as long as it has. I tend to shy away from commitment. He is the one who introduced me to Lit. I lurked around and mostly read the stories. I stumbled across the BB and before long started posting. I have learned things.. and given knowledge about things. This has been a great way to transfer information.. especially about sexual matters that perhaps one isn't comfortable asking in a r/l senerio. I tend to be a shameless flirt and I very much enjoy meeting new people and learning about them.
