SS, Will the physical therapy dissapate the fluid? I know whenever my back hurts, it makes me absolutely miserable.. I can only imagine how you are feeling. I truly hope that it feels better soon.

My lack of grace is the most entertaining thing about me. It just can't be helped.

Holiday weekend coming up, anyone have plans?

What holiday is this then? Here in NZ next weekend (May 31-June 2) is the official celebration of the Queen (of England's) birthday which means we get Monday off work. After that it's another 4 months till the next one, Labour Day, at the end of October. I'm afraid the only American holidays I know are July 4th and Thanksgiving

Monday is Memorial Day, so most of us yanks have a three day weekend.

U.S. holiday. Originally held in commemoration of soldiers killed in the American Civil War, its observance later extended to all U.S. soldiers who were lost in any war. Most states conform to the federal practice of observing it on the last Monday in May, but some retain the traditional day of celebration, May 30. National observance is marked by the placing of a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington National Cemetery.

Thanks for that CC We have a similar day here on April 25, called Anzac Day (stands for Australia & New Zealand Army Corps). It originally commemorated the day in 1915 when thousands of Australian and New Zealand troops lost their lives fighting in Turkey in a place called Gallipoli. It's been extended to include remembrance for all soldiers in all wars since, and most towns have a memorial ceremony and lay wreaths on various cenotaphs.

My friend is still in Australia, he comes back on Sunday for a couple of days and then he has to fly back again. We will meet up then for a couple of hours, unfortunately without the lady

I've been in a long distance relationship with a married man for the last year, he lives 5 hours away and we haven't been together in r/l much but we really have a spiritual connection as well as a physical one. He taught me what making love is all about......I was married a long time and my ex was emotionally abusive. My story is in the "How Do You Help Someone Get Over Being Abused" on the How To board.......

We can't be together at the moment because of his problems, and he tried to call the whole thing off a month ago but we've come to an understanding now - I'll wait, but I won't put my life on hold (he felt guilty because he couldn't put a time span on how long things would take). We love each other very much, and he told me he still wants me.......we'll just have to rely on ICQ and the phone to keep us in touch with each other for now. I can have sex whenever I want, but he has my heart......

Hello Bandit, BC and CC. Hope all your weekends are pleasant! I know is going to be more pleasant than it could have been ... however for all the wrong reasons. I happen to be on-call this week and next and was supposed to have a weekend filled with various maintenances (my company seems to have no inkling of the concept of the work "holiday"). However, they have all been cancelled ... because of problems, not because someone realized that it was a holiday weekend All it means is that people are really crabby and even more stressed.

Well I sure hope the therapy will help. You are right on the money about back pain. Having already been through a hip replacement and the lead up to that I understand pain and how it affects the way you interact with the world ... and back is just as dibilitating as a bum hip, perhaps even more so because it is more centrally located and nothing feels right when it is acting up.

Sorry about the bad weather everyone has been having ... 'suppose I shouldn't say that the last two days here have been absolutely gorgeous ...

Bandit, I haven't read your story.. but you seem to be a lovely woman who is in a fairly good spot right now. Things are never as we wish them to be, but a bit of luck, hope, and faith, things eventually get to where we need them to be. Unfortunately, I think much to many people know what it is like to suffer from some sort of abuse.

SS, You suck! Ah well, at least one of us is enjoying great weather. I hope you are able to enjoy the weekend, even if it is for all the wrong reasons. Just put all those negative vibes on hold, and enjoy the moment. Do you think that if I gave your back a it would feel better? It seems to work with a myriad of boo boo's.

Shoot, missed out again. No plans that I know about anyway. Company is all gone, had them all last weekend. Hmm, secret action, if I could figure out travel arrangements that would work! But, I doubt it will come to pass. Hope your weekend is a pleasant one.

Well, I like to think of it as my personal cereal bowl. The milk is a nice addition. LOL

I gave up on trying to be good. It never did work well for me anyway.
